This is a very off-the-wall question.

I need to save a panel BMP (for FS9) that should be:

8bit (256 colors) + an 8 bit (greyscale) alpha channel (16 bit image).

in the 555-1 bmp format.

HOWEVER, the resolution of the bmp must be 1280x960.

DXTBmp only supports resolutions/canvas sizes up to 1024x1024.
Is there a workaround? A different method?
I can't get a 32bit BMP to work (24bit + 8 bit alpha) nor can I get it to work right if I import a 32bit TGA and save to 16bit 555-1 (it becomes corrupt).

I'm more than happy to be wrong, I'll tell you!
smile

I'm running DXTBmp 4.00.96.

It will OPEN the original just fine (1280x960).

But when I bring in my own image, whether it's 1280x960 24bit, 1280x960 8bit, etc...
It always shows:

"now 1024x1024*
