Is anyone using the EAW Tilemap editor ("EAW Map Editor.exe" or "Map Editor OGL.exe") which the original programmers used?

Yes, occasionally to quick fix errors in the TM and get a first impression of elevationmaps I create as well as for creating railroads and frontlines.

I used them a lot for Iraq, but also for my combined Western Europe map (Dunkirk, Switzerland, etc)

The one I have seems to CTD when I try to load a height map. What I did manage to do was to make a utility that reads "tarnames.str" and "targets.dat" to make a "TarList.dat" file so the editor can show the target names for different theatres.
It works

Try renaming the HM to RAW and make sure your cursor doesn't go offscreen when editing.

Thanks.
It still crashes in Win10, but I ran it on my virtual XP system and it worked.

I think I tried the HM thing never got it working - The original I think needed a wrapper for the D3D or OGL ~ Open GL or Glide.

I though wil gee remade these at some point?

Anyway, I only used the TTD editor for any work. (the wil g. Geawttd version that is)

The lack of the tarlist file or whatever was a hassle also, from what I recall,
