I will be building a new PC for my flight simulator cockpit. I will be installing and using Xplane11, P3D V4.2, FSX and maybe Flight Sim world. Should I upgrade to Windows 10 or stick with Windows 7? 64 bit of course. I will also be using DCS and Cliffs of Dover and the latest MOD (can't remember the name right now).

I don't have DCS installed right now - but I haveP3D V4.2 and Il-2 and Win10 is the way to go, Win7 was great but Win10 Pro is better.

What exactly does Win10 bring to the table that Win7 is lacking? What does Win10Pro have that Win10Home doesn't?

I'll probably upgrade to Win10Pro soon, if nothing but for the ability to stop updates from occurring until my say-so.

I only know that it is very stable - when making skins I run P3Dv4 and Photoshop together many times and they never crash, same with Il-2.

When I had DCS 2.0 I did the same and it worked fine, I never tried it with 2.5 or 1.5.8, I suppose they work fine as well.

Win10Pro AFAIK is for us the same as Home and Win7 is, to put it simply, not as up to date as Win10 as far as drivers go.

having used every version of windows since 3.1

I would opt for using 7 , you actually still have control over your own PC using it, sadly not with 10
