No, this is not ED sawing the branch it is sitting on. These are DCS' mouthy and deranged particularly fanatical users.
wink

Also this:
Quote
Some DCS user: People are waiting for fixes or rival aircraft to ones currently released...

Han: Sorry, waiting for what??? Are you out of your mind, people? No one will ever dare to make this again. You should perform daily worships in the direction of the Water Stadium [ metro station where DCS head office is based?- translator note] strictly on schedule , with regular donations to the boxes of the virtual pilot synagogue, or you will lose what you have and NOBODY will ever GIFT you such a simulator on your consumer PC.

Can't read Russian, but from the translation seems like he has no idea what's going on. Also, still more of the "they're the only show in town, so you'd better go see them." dreck.

Wow, you played me! That being said, it only goes to show they've been saying the same crap the whole time. God - four years later and it seemed to fit perfectly with what I've heard from ED and their apologists. Also, it's been awhile since I've posted here and I should note DCS was taking 9 GB on my SSD so I've since uninstalled it.

I guess I'll do my regular sign-off - wake me when F/A-18 is released.

Han had a serious chip on his shoulder after he left Eagle Dynamics. Luckily in recent times he has somewhat calmed down.

I have not seen a single one of their employees say anything bad about their competition, so at least they've got that going for them.

Oh i remember sithspin, admittedly not an employee at the time, having a childish tantrum in the il2 forum.

DCS Kickstarter
Wags July 2014 "In this July 2014 update, the primary news is in regards to the restructured backer rewards. After a careful review of the older system under RRG, we found it financially unattainable."
Wags October 2017 "the investment vs. generated revenue has been excellent for the World War II aircraft. In fact, the P-51D Mustang has twice the cost effectiveness of the A-10C Warthog."

what competition are you referring to here? There is a difference between a heavily moderated forum that deletes posts, bans members, hide posts, shuts down and locks topic if it is going against 'the grain'.

In fact, I do not know of any other forum on the internet that is a competitor to Eagle Dynamics\The Fighter Collection\Belsimtek that would moderate it's forums in the same way FourLiner and his cohorts moderate Eagle Dynamics\The Fighter Collection\Belsimteks forums just to be a 'competitor' and act the same way.

Other companies making flight simulator software, VRS or 1C, just to name a few.

Nice try to distract from the actual topic, though.

Ah, you failed to explain that when you quoted one of SimHQ's moderators opinions.

but the reality is....even the competition you mention do not moderate their forums in direct competition as to what you were referring to when you quoted one of SimHQ's moderators.

It can be taken either way.....forum competition or software competition. Perhaps in future that needs to be made clear on the point you are pushing before sugar coating a quote from a moderator on an alternative forum.

I like the way you edited the post after the actual quote....Nice try though. Be more on the ball....instead of calling the ball as you test the F-18C whilst landing on the water and not the carrier deck

That's because they're too busy cleaning up ED's mess and reading on other forums to know who to watch out for in their own forum smile
