I'm pretty early yet in the game's story but I'm learning and having fun. The game is good so far but it is a little rough around the edges and needs some bug fixing and optimizing in my opinion. My apologies to anyone trying to view this post while I was in the process of editing it. Posting pictures has become a bit of a nightmare.

I have been on the fence about getting this. I love open world "choose your own way" type games (i.e. Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto). I also fell in love with the visuals and game play of Thief: the Dark Project, many years ago.

It's a beautiful game. I haven't had many bugs myself - a couple of instances, nothing major. The bug issue seems to vary between different individuals.

Actually, if anybody is interested, I bought into this game not really understanding what an RPG is. I'd never played one. I thought it was some kind of medieval sandbox or 1st person Total War. However, I have enjoyed the 66 hours I've played in this game, it's quite good and seems very well done.

I must say though, I am tiring of running around doing these quests to complete the 'story'. I think that is my personal dislike for singleplayer games coming out, rather than a fault of the game. I get sick of being lead around by the nose very quickly. What I am really itching to do is try and play a neutral character of my own invention - rather than that of Henry the investigator. I think it is possible to play this game like a sandbox. I like the idea of playing as a career criminal - burglary, robbery, theft, always on the run from the authorities.

The game has very good graphics. The night screenshots shades and colors are practically spot-on on how they look in real life. Will get it on a sale at GoG.com.

It is, once the prologue is complete you are free to just run off and do as you please. Of course the game attempts to guide you a certain way, but nothing stopping you from just hiding in the woods, hitting wayfarers over the head and stealing their stuff if you so choose.
Great pics by the way, they nailed the lighting and atmosphere. Kingdom Come has made me almost completely forget about AC: Origins and DCS 2.5

This is Bobby Rahal, thanks for playing the trial version of Microsoft's CART Precision Racing

Yes the lighting is really good. Light through the window looks a little funny to me with the dust but maybe that's because I have to run it on a lower setting. Sometimes though you just come upon something or just stand still and its amazing how good it can look at times. I'm still early in the story I'm assuming.(I'm trying to track down "Ginger" for the investigation for the stud farm massacre. I'm having to do some side grinding to get my character more experienced and better equipment so I can fight these two guys in the woods who right now are whipping my but however, I had a experience that was usual and makes for good roleplaying.

I woke up at dawn at an Inn and headed off down an unexplored road as I'm on the look out for a village and hopefully a trader and/or a blacksmith. As I go down the road which is surrounded by thick woods, I see up ahead a man running at me then veering off while behind him I see an armed Cuman trekking off to the side into the woods and disappears. Further up the road I see a Cuman kneeling in a position of surrender and two dead, nicely clothed bodies in the road. Apparently the two in the road were traders, perhaps on their way to trading or work in the morning. So now I'm left here trying to figure out what the heck happened. The Captain and other NPCs mentioned how bad bandits were getting. The first guy or someone looking like him comes walking back and so I run up to see if I can talk to him and he runs away. Another comes and runs away I assume because of the sight of the bodies in the road. I tried finding the other Cuman but he was long gone. A guy looking like the first guy I saw comes back down the road but this time engages me, revealing that he is a bandit. I fight and kill him. I decide to kill the surrendered Cuman. I loot everyone as I need some Groschen and then move along. An interesting morning. I'm guessing the traders were ambushed by bandits and then maybe the Cumans showed up and started fighting the bandits. It seems both sides lost a man either to surrender or worse and that's why I saw both a bandit and a Cuman running away from the gruesome scene. Pretty crazy.

You'll probably really like Mount and Blade Bannerlord, if it ever actually gets released...
