Albin Denis http://albindenis.free.fr/Site_escadrille/presentation.htm is the main source, but it is still a work in progress, understandable when you think about the sheer size of L'Armée de l'Air, and missing records. It is based on the official Service Historique de l'Armée de l'Air bible, and he has added much, but the records that the bible is based are in many cases incomplete or faulty. He has added a lot of detail, but there are gaps and errors. As to SPADs, many Escadrilles still had one or two or several SPAD VIIs right to EoW, though by October certainly the preponderance was XIIIs. Unfortunately, the WoFF structure cannot accurately reflect the actual numbers or percentages of a/c, (nor can it include all the historic aerodromes} so it doesn't always give a true picture. That being said, WoFF generally is pretty good - it has been crosschecked against many other sources. I am really looking forward to the update - it's the result of years of work. In just two weeks. Cheers, shredward
We will remember them.

Update? WOFF update? Two weeks? Don’t know whether to get all excited or....am a victim of over excitement and misunderstanding. But thanks for your insight!
EDIT: Awesome website but I wish there was a “Click here for English” button.

Currently reading a book that covers the development of the French Air Service and the Chasse Escadrilles of it. I was surprised to read that, at least several, flew the Spad VII to wars end. Unfortunately, unlike identical books on the other air forces, information is a little vague or non-existent on the bulk of the Escadrilles as to what exact aircraft they flew and when. As an aside I always assumed the Spad XIII equipped, by far, most of the Escadrilles in 1918 but now I wonder.
Could scroll thru the excellent WOFF database that always seems spot on Try Jara's "Encyclopedia" app. It's a great way to look into WOFF database for info you spoke of.

I’ll be your agent Robert. 50% of zero is....hmmm....uhhh...somebody want to give me a hand here?
And once I get my CP fixed I can use JJ’s app again.
EDIT: The above reminded me to check the shippers website for my MB. Says it will be here tomorrow! Course I’ll be 300 miles away but I’ll be installing Saturday morning it appears. Give me Friday night to dig everything out like the CPU silver paste heat transfer stuff. See? Got this technical stuff down!
