Father's love by Paul Contier. Downloaded it for my kindle on Amazon.
This is the story of a father and a son smuggling drug underwater in a midget submarine between Mexico and California in the 80's. Gripping pursuits underwater with the SDV, SEALS, USCG Cutters and the USN ASW helicopter and submarine. I recommend to anyone enjoying suspense, techo-thriller with a twist and action packed stories. There is a sample available for free on Amazon. I enjoyed the story.

Interesting.

I watched a PBS or similar of the Coast Guard, Customs etc. around here and subs off the coast here awhile ago.

But it didn't cover a real midget sub, just the pseudo-subs that are really partially submerged and more like an older cigarette-boat type thing.

Very hard to detect, but made poorly and usually abandoned after their one way trip into our waters.

btw: You're in my area.. Go Padres!

Go Padres!...

Some narco midget-subs were intercepted during their construction, but none underwater. And that is how we know of their existence. Midget subs and chariots are hard to detect, locate and target underwater.

Great story.
I liked the angle of smuggling drugs in a midget sub between Mexico and the US.
The pursuits through the underwater canyons of San Diego with the USN, SEALs, and the USCG were breathtaking, and i liked the couple of twists at the end.
The relationship between the father and the son were lively and the dialogues funny.
Good read, Time well spent. Waiting for the Volume 2 now.
