Being the lazy cuss I am, I didn’t find a good guide about it on a quick scan of the forum.
Had to get a new computer and that meant Win10. I see some have it running, but want to know best way to install and get the old girl running.
May need a mentor on this.

I am open to different ones. First I think I want to install the regular from my disc. Then do a few mods on it. Then I want to try the new one that you wizards have developed.
I guess when I get back home I will do an install from the original disc and let you know. Does it require using a compatibility mode ?

Thanks Mark. I just read your instructions in the EAW help thread on how to properly do that. Your instructions were very good. That was what I needed; instructions like you would give to your mentally challenged nephew.
I’ll let you know how it went in about 5 days when I get back home.

Been lazy and distracted by other things. Hope to try in a couple days.
Right now we are getting our big hangar cookout organized. We do this every three or four months. Use my hangar and my buddies next to me. Invite all the local pilots, their families and friends for a day of eating and airplanes. Maybe 17 airplanes this time. All different sorts and we spend the day going up in planes we haven’t flown, so everyone gets to put something else in their logbook. Take people up for free rides.
We’ve done this three times and each one gets better.
And Mark, that was definitely a compliment. Often people give instructions that assume someone already is familiar with some of the steps.
Thanks for checking back with me.

OK ! I motivated myself to dig around and get the external hard drive that I had an old version of EAW running on. Connected it and opened the EAW folder where I had done an installation. Ran the application execution and ........
IT RAN ! No compatibility needed. Just ran from the old drive. Version 1.28c.
Had to go and recalibrate my stick, but once done I was able to fly it like old times. I have to go and reconfigure some of my stick buttons, but 5hat is small potatoes.
Next thing is to have you all help me set up a more advanced version. What I want to do is leave my existing one alone and add a completely different one.
But EAW runs on my Win10 just fine.
Told the wife that I had got another of my old programs running again and she said “I heard. I remember that one very well.” I’m not sure she is as happy about it as I am.
