Starborough Sauvignon Blanc is one my wife likes a lot. I do too, but she’s more knowledgeable than I am and I rarely drink these days due to my diet. Leaping Frog is another, also a sauvignon blanc. Not as sweet as a reisling, but I like those a lot too. The Francis Ford Coppola label has always been good in anything of theirs we’ve tried. Of course I got it out of curiosity due to being Coppola’s, but it seems popular. Nothing we buy exceeds $15, maybe $18, so I can’t comment on any higher priced. Anything more expensive would be wasted on us and doesn’t seem necessary.

That's only because Night Train is cliche and Ripple isn't available these days. Try Wild Irish Rose. I'll have a glass of scotch with a meal; wine doesn't appeal to my palate. Had some Chateauneuf du Pape a few years back. Tolerable enough hogwash, that. I choked it down to be polite. Hey, I'm a great guest.

I weeped when I found that Ripple wasn’t available.

Affordable but delicious - Boone’s Farm Strawberry Hill
High end - MD 20/20 About the only wine I would drink to. Have a bottle MD 20/20 Grape. Been years since I remember drinking Boone's Farm. Going to have to look for it. Otherwise I only drink Miller High Life Beer. Mostly.

Chianti from Lidl, very tasty and quite cheap too, it was a surprise for me on how good it was, just can't remember the actual brand off hand but Lidl here stocks a few vintages and all at under €5 per bottle
Nuit St. George 1966, I have one bottle left, it is one of the best wines I have tasted, the bottle I have left is valued in the region of €700 to €900 a bottle, I got a case of them for my 21st birthday.
Now, I much prefer a good vintage port, Dow's 1966 is my favourite, I did have a half case but they are long since gone, all I have left is 1 bottle of 1977 and it is not as good as the '66.

We went to the Sugar Boat restaurant in Helensburgh last Friday evening, it has a Michelin star and the food lived up to it's billing and was not too pricey either, I had a glass of the sangiovese, igt, terre allegre, cielo e terra veneto, italy 2016, they are selling bottles at the table for £19 so a bottle would retail at about £3.50 or so, it was very good and I'm keeping an eye out for more. My wife had a white wine but didn't ask for a particular one so we don't know which one it was, later she piped up saying it was very, very, good and she wished she had asked Ah well we will go back next month when we fly back to Scotland and see what it was. The sugar boat was a cargo ship that sank in the River Clyde a few years ago, it was carrying a cargo of sugar hence the name, you can still see it laying on it's side when the tide goes out. The sugar boat at low tide...

Is that your cheap but tasty or your high end ? The cheapest wine there OG is in the $30.00 range (if i remember correctly) and the two bottles we have at home are in the $80.00 range, they are a 2013 wine and a 2014. We keep the wine to remind us to pay them another visit and/or special occasions. Their wine is excellent and we purchased roughly $180.00 of it ..... 3 to 4 bottles.

Lots of really good Chianti, I mean REALLY good, sadly it doesn't make it here very often. With my budget, I shop CA named vineyards/locations that are on sale locally. Had an amazing Chilean Cab that was on sale a few months ago. Amamzing stuff. Probably the best I have had in decades. Had friends with $ growing up. I have assisted in drinking more than a few bottles of Chateau Y'Chem, late 40's, 50's early 60's Chateau Lafitte Rothschild, Chateau Margeaux and cases of "lesser stuff. I got spoiled young, luckily chemo therapy kinda skewed my taste and smell forever I guess, so I am a little less critical than I would be. Still picky...
