Shogun and I have the "160Oct2017" version of the 160 installation.

My choice for the first test is:

Theatre: 00-Default ETO Theatre
Planeset: 11-ETO Russia late
I need to set up my microphone and head set for teamspeak.

Come and join us when you can smile

Just having lunch- back soon

Curious which planeset you're using in DAW. Never did get much feedback on the newer models and the repaired bi-planes.

So far we have been checking out the various theatres available in the "160Oct2017" folder, so we have been using the more familiar planesets.
Online games run in real time- there is no time acceleration, hence they take some time to complete.
Essentially we are playing for enjoyment, but eventually we will try the different planesets and let you know how they go smile

Hello Mr Jelly

Great to see the online team is active again - I'm on Holydays until Wednesday. I'll check my install today. How about an Online Session Tomorrow Tuesday 18:00 ?

Lolo

Hi Lolo

Happy to fly with you again smile

The folder we are using is "160Oct2017"

If you have not got it the link is here:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/l8addvpr95mhif7/160Oct2017.exe

Check the other post about the new MP utility

Shogun did not have the runtime files needed for the utility so it crashed with a missing OCX file error.
To fix that I made a VB installer which is available here:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/6n5gb984ow6iwtf/MPU160RT.exe

It generates a folder with a "Setup.exe" in it, run the "Setup.exe", but only use the utility that is in the "160Oct2017" folder.

Jel wink

The beauty of 160 is that you can mix and match. We just had a great game with Moggy's Iraq theatre, but the SPAW45 planeset smile

I have been checking the current exes and their use of the multiplayer scripts.
It seemed that a couple of important settings in the scripts were not being used, namely the mission type and the host's aircraft choice.
The source code confirmed that these were omissions, so I have compiled new versions of the160eaw exes and uploaded them to MediaFire.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/7ie229ouqlkk3sb/160Versions2018.exe

This is a 7-zip self- installer to run in the "160Oct2017" folder.
It will add the two new exes to you "Eaw Versions" folder as "160NewMapV1.exe" and "160OldMapV1.exe"

wink Jel

I did some testing of the Iraq aircraft and observed some strange beahaviour which appeared to be loadout related.
As a result I have used the 160 loadout editor to fix the issues, so there is a patch

http://www.mediafire.com/file/uqgpc6wxvfx406g/IraqFMfix.exe

Run it in the "160Oct2017" folder and it will fix several problems smile

Thursday evening session was good. I love this aspect of EAW multiplayer:

ShoGun and I were both able to re-arm at a friendly base, then headed off across the channel to catch the remaining bombers and escorts before they got home smile

Anyone care to show me how to get all this up and working - again.

I sort of understand GameRanger - do or don't need TeamSpeak?

Still confussed on UAW 1.50 I can get to work.

But with the new UAW 1.60 it doesn't seem to like something I am doing.

Plus still no idea how to really fly - but always willing to try to learn - as life and medication allow.

Later,

Earl
