Assassins Creed, 4 Black Flag in particular. Awesome game. The others too, but 4/5 are really good at it. Uncharted games aren’t on pc but I’d love to play them. Would Dishonored not qualify? Tomb Raider?

Tomb Raider? Those are action adventure, not disqualifying them but they have more focus on action then the adventure part, hence why i separated them in my OP. I would qualify dishonored as a stealth game honestly, sure you can hack slash, but like the reboot deus ex the focus of gameplay is stealth oriented, and based on your avatar i'm sure you would too .

I'm not sure what you would qualify as an adventure game in that case, can you give examples of your own definition? I would say Skyrim & Witcher 3 qualify as adventure, even though they have action as their solution mechanism. I would imagine an adventure game to have action as its main solution mechanism.

I think what's in short supply are real RPG's. Skyrim qualifies, but IMO Witcher does not. If you aren't developing your own character, how you want to, in the tradition of D&D or similar games, then it just isn't an RPG to me.

Adventure games dies out with 3d graphics.
We all recall the golden age of adventure games with games like:
- Adventure - Zork I/II/III - HHGTTG (best opening in a game every..) - Planetfall/Stationfall - Leather Goddess of Phobos - Thieve's Guild - Leasure Suite Larry - Secret of Monkey Island - Full Throttle
