The remastered edition has been released today. One of my favourite games of all time! Downloading as we speak. Can't wait to play it again!
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

SotC on PS4 is as brilliant as the original, but now it's even more gorgeous! It was the best-looking PS2 game by far, and it's not far from being the best-looking PS4 game either! The huge, ethereal world looks magnificient. The colossi look great, especially the organic parts - hair, fur, etc. Where the horizon was fogged over on the PS2 due to system constraints, you can now see for miles and miles, and it looks wonderful. The music is as stirring as ever, and the emotional impact of the game is still there. I'm not sure if I'm actually happy felling the colossi. This is simply one of the best games of all time.

Touch pad brings up the map, but I haven't heard the control speaker used for anything. You can choose between the original controls, and several remaps. Apparently, some thought the original control scheme clunky. I never had any problems with it.
I bought the game for half the price of most new ones. At that price it is a no-brainer. At full price as well, for that matter!
