Just ran across this a couple of nights ago!

Can ya blutetooth/usb the Centurion figure into your DVD player and make him do all the commentaries???!!??......or am I just wishful thinking..............
Um, I don't think so! And besides, I don't think the centurion can out-do Ron Moore when it comes to commentaries. That would be a tough act to follow.

We're only a handful of shows from the end, have seen a lot I didn't remember from the first time around

. I had heard the ending was bad, but, after watching it for myself, I didn't think so at all. I actually liked it. Did it answer all questions? No, but that's OK. Sometimes it's fun to think about things and try figure it out on your own. I followed the fan discussions very closely after the BSG finale aired and the best way I can put it is that the fandom was extremely divided. It seems that the detractors didn't like the notion that "supernatural forces" behind the scenes were pulling the strings guiding the major events during the finale. I think they wanted a more concrete scientific explanation for it all. Some fans also didn't like that the Galactica ended up arriving to an Earth from our distant past instead of arriving at our contemporary time.

I didn’t mind the when of the end, I just thought it was silly what they did with the ships. The supernatural side wasn’t good, it seemed like the only thing they could do to try to explain the corner they’d written themselves into. Didn’t work with me.

The supernatural side wasn’t good, it seemed like the only thing they could do to try to explain the corner they’d written themselves into. Didn’t work with me. Two points: 1. Agreed that having Sam guide the colonial fleet towards the sun was a bit hokey. Actually, the whole idea of colonial society completely giving up all technology so they could live like a Neolithic society was far fetched to say the least. 2. A lot of fans complained about the colonials reaching Earth 150,000 year ago because it caused some serious contradictions with what has already been established in human evolution. I personally think this complaint is silly since the show was SCIENCE FICTION after all.

Finished watching last night. The last 3-4 episodes had a lot I did not remember, a couple of episodes I'm sure I've never seen before at all. I even looked up information to determine when they originally aired trying to figure out why I might have missed them.
Enjoyed the series, a lot. I still wish it had been more of a straight up Human vs Cylon fight rather than all of the mystical visions/dreams "stuff", though having "skinjob" Cylons in the fleet, who didn't know they were Cylon, was a good innovation.

Of all the major character deaths on the show this one affected me the most: When Callie was thrown back and airlocked by Tory and then you see Callie's dead frozen body in space. That whole scene was just so surreal to me when I first saw it.

For me the most shocking death was:

For me the most shocking death was: Yes, that one too. Season 4 was just full of big deaths wasn't it? LOL

Yep.
Some good stuff too though, it was hilarious when Adama and Tigh were both drunk and Adama asked Tigh something about "were you born or.." and Tigh answers "My grandpa was a belt sander!"
Also later on, I believe when they were getting ready to mount the rescue mission for Hera, Tigh tells Adama "Bill it's not too late to flush them all out an air lock!"
Tigh was a drunk, a hothead, a moron sometimes but I loved that even when he found out he was a Cylon he remained loyal to Adama, Galactica and the Colonial Fleet.

I've stated many times that I thought the show kind of went off the rails in mid-third season, but up until then, so good. One of the more touching scenes is when Tigh has to confront his wife about the map - just really well done. One of the problems I had with the way they handled the end of the show was I felt it really took something away from some of the scenes like that one. Yep, great scene. I don't think it took anything away because all the emotions in the scene were real, neither knew then that they were Cylons and that Ellen would download (upload?) to a resurrection ship/facility..

Glad to hear more people will be exposed to this excellent series. Outside of the usual Sci-Fi fans, I'm not sure it got the recognition by mainstream audiences it deserves!
