I've been experimenting with using a rotary encoder as the throttle sensor.

I have it wired up to Bodnar's BuX card. His encoder utility is very easy to use. I don't understand the ratios though. I am assuming this defines how many 'clicks' to how many 'steps' advanced. At 1:1 the encoder takes many full revolutions of the dial to advance the throttle 1%. At 1:4 the throttle doesn't seem to respond at all.

What am I doing wrong? I haven't tinkered with the Pulse Width function yet. Does this need to change as the ratio changes?

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,
