What use is the ladder, when the Pilot can't walk outside the cockpit. Makes the sim totally unplayable for me. Other sims do it far better ....

I like the ladder, nice touch. It's a long drop for this old man. I think a power lift would be a little better though. Maybe even one that gently lowers me in to the seat. Or maybe better would be a pit that the Viper is driven down in to, and I can just fall in to the 'pit with little effort. But I'd still need to get out.... Hey Oden, what had been hanging on 3/7? Oh, duh, GBU-24. Reading comprehension requires actually reading it

Yes, that's the idea, but perhaps something a bit more plush. Some back and neck support, maybe add a heater and built-in massager.....
Voyager has the right ring to it though.

Troo dat.
Though, it isn't a bad idea. I was thinking maybe I could just be strapped in to the seat, and the whole works then gets lowered in to the cockpit and armed. And I could just pull that yellow and black PTE handle to get out after the mission. .Saves the gubment a ladder anyway
Ladders are inherently dangerous, and safety is always a priority.

Thanks, you're too kind. I found the absurdity of ejecting to save the cost of a ladder and to avoid it's inherent dangers to be not only funny, but distinctly American And I can say that because, well, I'm one. And that eliminates any shades of discrimination, bias or stereotyping, right? Who leaps out out the rabbit? Galahad, Lancelot and I..... Sometimes brilliant plans fail at the execution stage.
