I am glad they did not put all their eggs into that silly Near Impact project.
This is something for which true wargame players can really enjoy.

Very cool. I too would love to see Sonalyst come back with another naval sim. I loved Jane's 688i Hunter Killer and I also liked and played some Sub Command and Dangerous Waters too. Dangerous Waters for me is pretty complicated. I still need to get that spiral bound manual off Subsim if they still sell it. That second link says "under construction" but the pictures from the first link, are those of the new engine? I like what I see and I'm also intrigued. They are not just showing more land based structures and things like aircraft on runways but they are showing simple in-cockpit views too. Its called Sim Engine so are they planning on making ground and air assets more complex I wonder? I wish them luck and thanks for informing us about it.

They really need to change the graphics engine.

I am very excited about a new sim from them, but the graphics and sound engines were the weakest points of their past games, I think that really hurt the sales.

Yes that would be nice. Those pictures look like Sonalyst is presenting a project, may be a brand new "Fleet Command"?

Now keep in mind, they make more money selling simulators to Governments and their departments than selling to hardcore gamers which numbers go shrinking by the years!....Sigh!!!

If they made a new Dangerous Waters with current DX 11 graphics and full cooperative MP support I would gladly pay $100 for a copy.
