Looks good!

Love Stargate, especially the original. Finishing up rewatching all of "Star Trek Deep Space 9" now and I think when we're done I'm going to sign up for Hulu and rewatch all of Stargate.

It was already established prior to this series that there was Nazi involvement, IE the Stargate was discovered in Egypt but moved to the US to avoid it falling into Nazi hands.

Getting really sick of prequels.
We know they didn’t know what the thing was, much less how to use it, so how is this a good Stargate story?

Well, finding it, figuring out what it was, activating it with 1930's technology, fighting Nazis to keep it.

I think it will be interesting, or at least has the potential to be.

I'm always up for some new Stargate. I wish Stargate Universe could be relaunched.

I thought it was well established that no one in the modern world knew how to work the Stargate until the USAF/Daniel figured it out?

I don't remember all the details but in one episode of SG1 it was revealed that the boyfriend of the lady whose father discovered the stargate ended up stranded on another planet when they activated it pretty much by accident and he went through, then the gate shut down. Apparently everyone thought this guy had been killed so they packed everything up and forgot about it thinking it was too dangerous to mess with.

Hadn't heard of this but it looks interesting. I loved the movie but never watched the series though. This does look like it has an Indiana Jones spirit to it which will probably be entertaining, but I wish they would have gone for something more akin to the feel of the original movie especially early on in the movie. Personally I'd prefer to see it go more darker and mysterious and with a malevolent tone. I love that scene from the movie when its night and stormy and the ufo pyramid lands on the pyramid structure that all the troops are in and then that unknown "presence" starts wiping them out in the dark. I wholeheartedly prefer when the mystery is kept for longer before any kind of revelation.

By the way, what channel is this coming out on and is it going to be a series, movie, mini-series?
