I have the FLCS not F22 were the SW Chips the same?
SVF22 chips are 3rd part replacement chips to try improve F22PRO " HOTAS poor electronics/pot's (not sure if compatible with F16FLCS), made by "BoB Church", that after became CH Products software (Manager) developer, now retired - what left CH sticks in 20 century. SWF22 major improvement was allow program that keystrokes in Windows environment rather than in pure DOS. IIRC - They are labeled as "Stick Works F22". To insist in this "vintage" way, need consider too that MicroChip mc used in this SWF22 is no longer in production.

I figured they might be copy protected but it would be nice if any one had access to Mr Chrch to see if he would be willing to release his code rather than trying for a full dump since he did say himself second hand is the only way to get the chip. I was unaware arduino had usb hid drivers? Also thought mm2joy was only windows xp forward, I will have to check! You can program the Arduino with MMjoy on any computer , once that is done it is not seen as an Arduino any longer , just a HID device , whether Win98 can see that HID device I don't know? there are many many Arduino "Libraries" (Drivers) and they are easy to install and use , though MMJoy is not a Ardunio Library. The Arduino IDE is good to have installed I found and is Free. https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Donatehttps://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/Librarieshttps://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Librarieshttp://skaarhoj.com/wiki/index.php/Steps_to_install_an_Arduino_Library_from_GitHubI am curious what game it is that you play that "needs" Win98 though ?

Some of the Notes are from my rewiring and some are old colours , my PDFs were never really for Public consumption , it's just how my brain works , draw it out and follow the "flow" and try and understand it as a non-electronics person....but I figured I'd post them since they might help others in the same situation, in the future somehow since there is little documentation about converting the FLCS and TQS online ...in one place . If you don't have it On page 5 are Solder Monkeys Notes and I made a PDF of them to make it easier for everyone , it will show you what the yellow 2. Orange 1, brown 2, etc is referring too , ie the wires in the TQS Ribbon cable , on page 6 are a couple more pics too. KB

' Hi, Just ask if you have a question , happy to help if I can or look at the Pics I have for something not Shown here yet...... But yes it was definitely more work than the FLCS , but I added an Encoder and a 12T Rotary switch as well , not sure if I do that again as I am not sure I will use all the Buttons , I now have, but like you been too busy to Fly much since and really test things out.

Nice updates KB.
I don't know why but I thought that I'd read somewhere that F7 was dedicated to Shift Registers...so that's not true then, correct? The Shift Register can go anywhere that has a "bm" designation?
also, from reading, the Pots don't care which side I choose as hot (5v) and which side I choose as ground, correct?
EDIT: Looking at your MMJOY shots, I think I understand the pots section, but I'm a little lost on teh button section. I gotta read up on the MMJOYSETUP tutorial more. Just an Update , now I found the Original Information so wanted to put it in this thread too.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I had a similar problem with my TLE5010 and FLCS Handle Shift Registers (4021) and Erichos help me fix that ( Page 131), and I wire my 74HC165 Chips the same IIRC, but basically : is little confusing for users because SPI-MISO for shift registers is not the same MISO (Data) that you can use for TLE5011........but for MISO (Data/CS) for 4021 connect to any free digital pin on the Arduino and set it in MMJoy2 under Buttons>Shift RegistersThe Full Post : http://SimHQ.com/forum/ubbthreads.p...uild-your-own-usb-controller#Post4347381

No Problem .... Didn't know you had a Thread I have desktop ShortCuts to this thread and the MMJoy one so I don't see the Whole Forum....put it in your Forum Signature perhaps like me.... So what's the difference with Foxy and Fox Pro can't remember.... I thought I saw it on the TM FTP Site? ProV2.5 maybe? might be a bad or a incompatible PS2 converter ...... you would still need Drivers installed though I'd think ? or maybe the Nub is dead ? or now wired incorrectly ?

I'm thinking the nub might be dead. I have other issues now - I think I may start looking for another TQS to buy - turn one digital and try and do the same thing with what I have with the next one.

Well if you don't explain I can't Help , personally I never liked the Nub it was too hard to used accurately so I wasn't concerned about using a POV Hat to replace it from another Old Joystick. I got lucky last year a found a 2nd FLCS//TQS/Pro Throttle/CH Pro Pedals for $75 and an X-Fighter, so I got them for Spares and Parts as the CH stuff is supposed to have good Pots and Hats etc to reuse and I prefer the X-Fighter Base. Forgot to say the TLE5010 are available again if you want some? http://SimHQ.com/forum/ubbthreads.p...uild-your-own-usb-controller#Post4404152 KB
