So we got tickets to see the Cranberries for the first time a couple of months ago and just before the show I received an email saying the show had been canceled because of Dolores' doctor's orders. She was having back problems.
Now I find out today that she passed away. Such a shock. Guess we'll never get to see them live anymore...

Loved the Cranberries first two CDs. Very sad. Saw them play live on the BBC a few months back and I have to say her voice wasn't a patch on what it once was. Only 46, a shock indeed.

Reports are saying that her death was both sudden and unexpected. She had been suffering with bipolar disorder for a long time though so maybe drugs were involved. RIP that's very sad, a good friend of mine 2nd wife was bi-polar, his first wife was just bat sh!t crazy.

One of the most beautiful voices ever and a stunning lady as well, not that that matters of course. RIP.

Yes, so sad indeed. This band marked me as a late teenager and young adult in the 1990's and her voice was very beautiful indeed and some of this band's songs were among my favorites of all times. RIP...

Initial reports are saying it was due to an intentional overdose of painkillers. Official word still to come.
