Hi folks;

This is to advise that the "Consolidated Custom Airfields Repository Folder mod]" has been renamed to the "Consolidated Custom Facilities Repository Folder mod". Once you download the new one from Sandbaggers mods page you should remove all the old mods that were part of the old Repository Folder.

The old mods that were contained in the "Consolidated Custom Airfields Repository Folder" were named as follows:
WOFF UE 0 - Airfields - Models for Airfields by Panama Red
WOFF UE 1 - 1914+ All Airfields - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red
WOFF UE 1 - 1917+ All Airfields - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red
WOFF UE 1 - 1918+ All Airfields - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red
WOFF UE 2 - Combined Custom Airfields Mod by RJW

The new mods within the "Consolidated Custom Facilities Repository Folder" are named as follows:

WOFF UE 0 - Facilities Models by Panama Red
WOFF UE 1 - 1914+ Facilities - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red
WOFF UE 1 - 1917+ Facilities - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red
WOFF UE 1 - 1918+ Facilities - Full Trees Populated by Panama Red
WOFF UE 2 - Consolidated Custom Facilities Mod by RJW

THE REASON FOR THE RENAME:

Since the mod was originally released, many more mods have come along that are not airfields, such as RAF_Louverts forts and Havrincourt Wood.
There will no doubt be many more mods on the horizon, so it was felt that the rename would accomodate such diversity.

Sandbagger will be advised to remove the old mod from his mods page, once the new one has been made available to him.

Keep your eyes peeled for his announcement.

The new release will now include RAF_Louverts latest release of the Verdun Forts, and Havrincourt with the winter tiles in place. It will also include Roberty Wiggins Izel les Hameau/Filscamp airfields with the associated Filscamp farm and Les Hameau village.

Best Regards to all

Robert, thank you for all your time and effort on putting together the consolidated mod, it is very much appreciated. Might you be so kind as to list here all the mods that are consolidated in your offering so that folks know everything they will be getting when they load it up. Thanks again mate!

I will do that but suffice to say that the accompanying "Readme" files do just that and I will continue to list new ones there as they are released. Here is an extract from the Readme files:

The “WOFF UE 2 – Consolidated Custom Facilities Mod by RJW” contains the following custom airfields:

Developed by RAF_Louvert:
Boistrancourt aerodrome, St. Omer airfield, Bray Dunes airfield, Farnborough airfield,
Havrincourt Wood, Verdun forts

Developed by Robert Wiggins:
Roucourt aerodrome, Phalempin aerodrome,
Combined Filscamp/Izel les Hameau airfields +les Hameau village

More will be added as they become available.

Thanks go out to the following people for their contributions to these mods:

The Airfield relocation project is an effort by Robert Wiggins and RAF_Louvert.
RAF_Louvert for the primary development of the Boistrancourt, , Bray Dunes, St Omer airfields and Havrincourt Wood.
Robert Wiggins for the primary development of the Phalempin and Roucourt airfields.
Panama Red for the “Facilities – Models Mod”, and the “All Facilities – Full Trees Populated mod”.

Panama Red for thoughtfully placing the additional aerodrome figures and items into these mods, that were generously provided by Geezer.
Robert Wiggins for providing chateau wall and board fence and brick walls models.
The creators of the superb old CFS3 mod "Mediterranean Air War" for the use of one of their wall models.
Jim Miller, Olham, Raine, Shredward, and Fullofit on historical aspects to consider and photos, information, and maps upon which we relied heavily while building the facilities.
And of course the WOFF UE devs for giving us this utterly fantastic sim in the first place.

And let's not forget OldHat for porting all of Geezer's figures and buildings and such into WOFF UE.

Good point Lou. I will add that notation for a future upload. I can't do it just now as an upload is in place and running.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Gee, I was going to suggest compiling all of these forts and forests and airfields into one mod and you all beat me to the punch.

Folks, thanks to AceMedic88, who identified a problem in the release of the 'Consolidated Custom Facilities Repository Folder mod'. A new version will shortly be made available. Please refrain from downloading the mod until I post here or Sandbagger does to identify the new one is available. If you have already downloaded it, throw it out.

Best Regards;

Additional note: the "Consolidated Custom Facilities Repository Folder mod" has grown to a size of 320 megs approx. So consider that when you decide the time of day to download as it can take some time if traffic is heavy on the net.

Best customer service I've ever had

If only my car insurance process was this fast...

Some missing files prevention the new Izel/Fiscamp from loading.

Oh, I have wondered where the new Filescamp airfield is. So, I though, it was not included yet.
Thx for clearance.

In Canada the typical ADSL high speed modem running on twisted pair copper land lines without a fibre optic connection to the central office, generally gives the user 0.5 megabyte upload speed and 5 to 7 megabyte download speed. IT'S KILLING ME!!!
As an example the "Consolidated Custom Facilities Mods Repository mod" is 320 megabytes approx. So do the math: 0.5 MB upload speed * 320MB divided by 60 secs - 2.66 hours upload time. GEEEZ.......

Consider how many uploads I do to YouTube during DiD campaigns not to mention modding uploads to my DropBox along with other cloud service needs and you get the picture of how often I twiddle my thumbs on this end to complete a task.

I'm on a rant....don't stop me now.... Where is my soothing bottle of single malt?????

Great work on the CCFRF mod guys! This will add a tremendous amount of realism to the sim that is greatly appreciated - and will look pretty, to boot!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to enjoy the new scenery, at least for awhile. My old Nvidia 460 GTX is not up to snuff to process all the new textures. I had planned to upgrade my video card, but the combination of Christmas demand and Chinese "data miners" has dried up supply and driven prices for video cards through the roof. On Amazon, for example, the price of a Radeon rx 570 card (if you can even find one) is now listed for over $400! 580's are even higher.

So, it looks like I will have to wait, at least for a little while. For now, I guess I will have to settle for screen grabs from those of you who can enjoy the mod. However, as soon as I can get a new card that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, the very next thing I will do is download the CCFRF so I can enjoy the new eye candy.

Thanks again Robert, Lou, and the rest of the gang. I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

Your situation is why we also offer these mods independantly, so you may try that approach and see how things go for you. Your feedback on performance will aid us in the development process for the future. Thanks mate,

I can certainly try that.

As an aid for those of us too lazy to look it up ourselves, would it be possible to post a simple map marking the locations of the individual facilities?

I'm half joking here - I really am very lazy, but I understand that creating a map for this purpose is probably more work than is necessary. OTOH, as you add more facilities to the consolidated mod, a map might be very useful to help keep track of the changes. Just a thought.

Thanks again.

Folks, this is clearly not my day. I have found another bug affecting both the "WOFF UE combined Izel les Hameau, Filscamp airfields and les Hameau village Mod by RJW" and the "WOFF UE 2 - Consolidated Custom Facilities Mod by RJW" .
There was a corrupted Targets file preventing QC missions from running and causing a 'Run time error '62' input past end of file' error. I found the offending file and had a backup to replace it.

I will now be uploading both mods to my DropBox for the THIRD time!!!

I will keep you posted when it is available to Sandbagger banghead

Folks, in addition to Sandbagger's announcement above that the 'Consolidated Custom Facilities Repository Folder mod (version 2.10)' is now available, I would like you to also be aware that the 'WOFF UE combined Izel les Hameau, Filscamp airfields and les Hameau village Mod by RJW' has also been updated with a fix for a problem
Please replace your current versions with the new ones.

Seriously, the work is simply amazing. It would be great if it could all be brought directly into WOFF UE in a patch. I only wonder if more modest machines might have a problem running smoothly with all this extra great stuff. I salute you all, gentlemen, for your incredible work.

I second Hellshade's sentiment. I can't believe how quick Robert went to work fixing it, and the hours spent ensuring it's success. This is why I love this game and will always come to this forum.

Gentlemen, I for one, and I'm sure the other modders feel the same, that your praise and appreciation doesn't go unnoticed and is certainly appreciated. Thanks for using and enjoying the mods. Hopefully some day some of the mods will make it into the WOFF core product but if they don't they will always be here to add on, thanks to Sandbagger for hosting.

I just made another attempt and i got this errormessage 404 again. However, i took a closer look at the link and found: www.thatoneplease.co/WOFF/WOFFUEConsolidatedCustomFacilitiesModsRepositoryFolderV2.10.zip; changed it to V2.11.zip and now it works. Some browser cache relic ? Never had anything like this before,strange. Next time i'll start with searching for the problem on my end. Thanks to all involved modders for bringing out so much great stuff right at the start of the new year. Best regards

I've got this in the Roucort area:
https://yadi.sk/i/N9XSa2wZ3RUaXp
This happens only in summer and only when the Consolidated Custom Facilities are activated (+facilities alone do not cause this). I also have 4L0M's terrain textures v1 installed.

Please tell me the year, month, day and are you flying from Roucourt aerodrome.
Also the squadron number and please fly over the location again with the "Z" key turned on and record the GPS coordinates and I will look into it.

Do you have the following files in the root directory "WOFF". If so, I recommend you remove them and fly your mission again.
The files in question are called "airbase_groucourt_1.xml" , “global_layerfilescamp.csv” , ”gslfilescamp.lib”
It is possible the "airbase_groucourt_1.xml" file might be causing the problem. These files should not be in the root directory of "WOFF" and were placed there unintentionally by the V2.12 of the Consolidated Custom Facilities mod.

Thanks

No, I don't have any of those files in the root directory. Can't tell the year or date, I noticed this occasionally in the quick combat session - just selected Flanders, Roucort from drop-down list. My active pilot, if it matters, now flies Jasta 15, 30.01.1918, Le Clos Ferme.

Well if you see it again just turn on "Z" key and record the GPS coordinates for me.
I just flew a Roucourt QC and everything looks good to me.
What version of the Consolidated mod are you running?

Ok, the coordinates are:
N50*20'05''
E03*07'15''
I am using the latest version from Sandbagger's site. 2.13?

Dornil;

I flew to the coordinates you spoke of and found no problem. Here is a screen capture of the mods I have active and also a picture of the Roucourt area you spoke of and it looks fine.

I believe you have some old files lying around either in old mods or somewhere in your WOFF installation. Have you made any direct file changes to your WOFF without using JSGME?

Next question is whether anyone else is experiencing this!

Robert, looking on your JSGME installation list I can see you do not have installed the latest version of Realistically Populated Airfield mod v1.4. Version 1.3 is not fully compatible with your latest Consolidated Facilities Mod 2.13.

The only changes I made outside JSGME, are the alterations to ui.xml file, to change the markers. Although it is unlikely that it could influence anything, I tried putting in the backup anyway.
I also tried removing all other mods. The Roucort blank field is still there: only in summer, regardless of the weather or aircraft.

Doris I agree the UI.xml is not a contributor to you problem.
I am really stumped. When did you last have the Consolidated mod working if ever?

Dornil;

Kindly use 'Windows Explorer' to do a search on your 'WOFF' directory for the following string '*groucourt*' and capture the output by selectinga 'File' and choosing 'save search' from the dropdown menu and either post the results here of send me a link to the file so I can review it. I sure would like to get to the bottom of this problem.

Best Regards;

Robert_Wiggins,
i should be most grateful if you would take a look into CCFRFmod 2.13 to confirm wether these 3 files from RAF_Louverts beautiful Verdun forts mod are included: OBDWW1 Over Flanders Fields/buildings/ AusFort-1,AusFort-1damaged,pillbox. At least these were missing in my latest download...

Dornil I unzipped the file with 7-zip but the unzipped file is not readable. it is a .ms file and I can't process it.

Sorry, I don't really know how to extract the search results properly. The best I could do are those screenshots of folder:

Installed the fresh 2.14 version. Roucort "swamp" is still there...:(

Dornil, I don't see any problems so far with your two file lists but there is so much to look at in there.

Would you kindly navigate to the following two files and check the dates of the files. They should be the same.

.....WOFF\MODS\WOFF UE 2 - Consolidated Custom Facilities Mod by RJW\WOFFScenery\Summer\airbase_groucourt_1_outline.dds

.....WOFF\WOFFScenery\Seasons\Summer\airbase_groucourt_1_outline.dds

Let me know if the date shown is '12/31/2016'. It should be.

In "WOFF\MODS\WOFF UE 2 - Consolidated Custom Facilities Mod by RJW\WOFFScenery\Seasons\Summer there aren't any airbase_groucourt files. There are just eight havrincourtwood.dds
In WOFF\WOFFScenery\Seasons\Summer\ there are tow files, airbase_groucourt_1_outline and airbase_groucourt_2_outline. Both marked as created on 29th December 2016.

Well that could be the problem. I am out of my home at the moment but I suspect something is wrong with your download. I am sure the files are there in the mod and I will verify that when I get home.

Dornil;

The mod folders: 'WOFF\MODS\WOFF UE 2 - Consolidated Custom Facilities Mod by RJW\WOFFScenery\Seasons\Summer' does in fact have the all the necessary files in it. Something is wrong with your version. You are missing all the summer tiles for all the customized airfields. I would suggest you download the mod again and then go look in the folders before using the mod.

Let me know what you find.

Best Regards;

Yes, the reason seems to be found! For some reason, the mod archive, I used to download at home, was incomplete. Even the new one, 2.14. I can't guess the reason for that, but I just re-downloaded it from work, and everything seems to be intact. I will re-install the mod in the evening.
Thank you!

Hope this helps...Flying a SE5a RFC60 13 Aug 1917, Airfield N/A i cant pick an airfield mate,as soon has i pick Verdun as a location it gives me the error Thanks Robert

Edit: Strange one this mate..Ive tried testing 1916 and 1918 all fine no errors,ive just tested March 1st 1917 and all fine but the pilot date above still crashes when i pick Verdun??

A test pilot on 8th Oct 1917 28RFC flying a camel in Autumn gives me the same error pal,if you require me to do some testing for any craft,dates etc..id more more than willing if it helps

My findings Robert after a couple of hrs testing: June,July,Aug,Sept,Nov,and Dec of 1917 gives me the error when selecting Verdun in QC..the months from Jan to May 1917 are fine. Ive tried with different squadrons aircraft etc. HTH cheers

Hmmm.
That is odd since the folders go by year right?
Guess I would have thought that if one part of the year is good the whole year should be fine?
Have not examined the latest files closely just installed it - not that I am some kind of expert or anything.

Not sure how it works Duke,all i know is that if i disable the Mod everythings fine,reenable and I get the error and it takes me back to desktop when picking Any month from June-December in QC
Its certainly a strange one thats for sure.
Have you the mod installed Duke? If possible could you see if you can replicate the error? Thanks

I have found the problem and will have it to Sandbagger some time today. It is a big mod and takes quite some time to upload on my internet.

Thanks for pointing it out Adger.

Hehe. Just d/l'ed it about 3 days ago.
Standing by to do it again. Poor Sandbagger's bandwidth.

Out of curiousity Robert, if you can put it in laymans terms and in about 10 words or less, what was the issue?

ten words or less: record count higher than actual number of records. "that's 8 words", will that do? winkngrin

The problem could certainly be on my end but I d/l'ed the file twice (315 MB) but upon unzipping it says the d/l is corrupted.

Hi Duke, I checked the original file on my end and it is good. I am currently downloading the one on Sandbaggers site and I will let you know how that goes shortly.

Is this file really 331 MB in size?
Tried twice again today (cancelled both times) and my browser keeps saying the file is 315 MB?!?

EDIT: Tried both Firefox and IE. Both say 315 MB?

EDIT #2: Out of desperation after aborting 5 tries tonight I let the last 315 MB go all the way through. It's 322 MB once d/l'ed but it unzips and it looks like everything is there(?). Computers!

Folks;

The zip file hosted by Sandbagger is 322,435 kb in size. I know this because I have the zip file which Sandbagger uploaded.

I don't know if anyone has considered this but, given that the download speeds at Sandbagger's site aren't hugely fast it is probably going to cause people with flaky client connections to get these corrupted downloads. I'd suggest hosting a torrent, much better way of ensuring you're getting a file that is checked for integrity by the torrent client and it would take the bandwidth load off of Sandbagger's site somewhat. Either that or host another mirror with a faster download speed if hosting a torrent is too much hassle. In fact a repository of skins that is accessible via torrent would also be pretty nifty.

Let's pretend I got the BWOC badge to embed here.

Just my input guys,my download is 322,452KB

Unzipped its 328mb (344,721,116) and the readme is 105kb I dont believe it is 331MB as stated on Sandbaggers site. 3 seperate downloads all confirm the same file size. Ive put the file sizes in my pic below

Okay thanks all. Looks like I have it good this time.
Sandbaggers site saying it should be "331 MB" plus my unzipping issues of last night had me wondering what I should be downloading.
Guess I am a-ok.

Duke;

Just curious. How long did it take to download and are you on a DSL high speed modem? If so, what does your provider promise you in terms of mb download speed

I live way out in the country so I use a satellite.
Speed can widely fluctuate (depending upon the weather of all things) but it's pretty darn fast - a lot faster then my old dish.
With that said Sandbaggers site - at least tonight and last night though we had much snow yesterday - was awful slow but when I downloaded all the skins from there 3 days ago it was very fast. For a speed number...I don't know exactly!
Normally I am pretty quick though FWIW.

@Robert,
do you think it would be possible to split your mod to smaller, moreless independent parts, so in the case of update you do not need to upload entire 330 megs of data repeatedly and we, users, do not need to DL whole pack again. For expample, first part would be the "Facilities models by Panama Red", second individual Facilities per year and finally "Consolidated custom facilities by RJW". Even the last one could be split into the smaller parts - textures in one and data (*.lib, *.xls and *.mos files) in another archive.
I know from my own experience there are always some little bugs and/or points of improvements left in the mods, so I expect your 2.16 update is not the last one in the near future wink .

Yes I too have been thinking about such an idea.
The mod will only get bigger and bigger as Lou keeps adding new facilities.
Leave it with me.

Hi all,
Regards the download sizes stated on the mods page - I round up whatever the file size is once it's been uploaded to the site via my FTP software. However what it states as the file size can be more or less than the actual file size. It's stated really just to give the user an idea of the size. In future I'll state the file size before it's uploaded and disregard the FTP file size.

Mike
