Is this file really 331 MB in size?
Tried twice again today (cancelled both times) and my browser keeps saying the file is 315 MB?!?

EDIT: Tried both Firefox and IE. Both say 315 MB?

EDIT #2: Out of desperation after aborting 5 tries tonight I let the last 315 MB go all the way through. It's 322 MB once d/l'ed but it unzips and it looks like everything is there(?). Computers!

Folks;

The zip file hosted by Sandbagger is 322,435 kb in size. I know this because I have the zip file which Sandbagger uploaded.

I don't know if anyone has considered this but, given that the download speeds at Sandbagger's site aren't hugely fast it is probably going to cause people with flaky client connections to get these corrupted downloads. I'd suggest hosting a torrent, much better way of ensuring you're getting a file that is checked for integrity by the torrent client and it would take the bandwidth load off of Sandbagger's site somewhat. Either that or host another mirror with a faster download speed if hosting a torrent is too much hassle. In fact a repository of skins that is accessible via torrent would also be pretty nifty.

Let's pretend I got the BWOC badge to embed here.

Just my input guys,my download is 322,452KB

Unzipped its 328mb (344,721,116) and the readme is 105kb I dont believe it is 331MB as stated on Sandbaggers site. 3 seperate downloads all confirm the same file size. Ive put the file sizes in my pic below

Okay thanks all. Looks like I have it good this time.
Sandbaggers site saying it should be "331 MB" plus my unzipping issues of last night had me wondering what I should be downloading.
Guess I am a-ok.

Duke;

Just curious. How long did it take to download and are you on a DSL high speed modem? If so, what does your provider promise you in terms of mb download speed

I live way out in the country so I use a satellite.
Speed can widely fluctuate (depending upon the weather of all things) but it's pretty darn fast - a lot faster then my old dish.
With that said Sandbaggers site - at least tonight and last night though we had much snow yesterday - was awful slow but when I downloaded all the skins from there 3 days ago it was very fast. For a speed number...I don't know exactly!
Normally I am pretty quick though FWIW.

@Robert,
do you think it would be possible to split your mod to smaller, moreless independent parts, so in the case of update you do not need to upload entire 330 megs of data repeatedly and we, users, do not need to DL whole pack again. For expample, first part would be the "Facilities models by Panama Red", second individual Facilities per year and finally "Consolidated custom facilities by RJW". Even the last one could be split into the smaller parts - textures in one and data (*.lib, *.xls and *.mos files) in another archive.
I know from my own experience there are always some little bugs and/or points of improvements left in the mods, so I expect your 2.16 update is not the last one in the near future wink .

Yes I too have been thinking about such an idea.
The mod will only get bigger and bigger as Lou keeps adding new facilities.
Leave it with me.

Hi all,
Regards the download sizes stated on the mods page - I round up whatever the file size is once it's been uploaded to the site via my FTP software. However what it states as the file size can be more or less than the actual file size. It's stated really just to give the user an idea of the size. In future I'll state the file size before it's uploaded and disregard the FTP file size.

Mike
