I purchased and downloaded woff ultimate edition.
I extracted it to an temp file.
Ran the install and it was great until an error was reported while
installling woffscenery\period\battlemaps\1918Mihiel_Argonne.bmp.
An error stopped the install and I hit retry.
I waited 5-10 minutes but the install hung at this point.
Whats up?

Go the official WOFF web site and read he FAQ. Make sure you followed all the outlined procedures for the install. If that doesn't help then read the part near the end on procedures to follow to gather all the log files etc, and how to send it to the OBD developers for analysis.
Before doing the above I would suggest trying again because any number of things could happen to cause a bad read. In fact there is always a possibility the download didn't complete properly and you may have to download it again.

It installed and repaired my c++? but crashes at the loading screen.
I have patched it to the latest version but will not run.
Frustrating.

PC's can be frustrating, as they are all different. However without knowing the exact error etc, you must at least install Direct X9 firstly, see the WOFF UE FAQ first sections - there is also a troubleshooting section and others that will help most possible issues.

I'm having the same problem. I've just purchased WoFFUE and installed the main game along with the new 4.17 patch. I've also installed (and reinstalled) each of the C+ DX and VB utilities in the Toolbox folder. I have tried setting the shaders to basic, as well as running in compatibility mode for Windows 7 (I am using W10). I have also tried running as administrator as well as installing and running with Windows Defender switched off.

Every attempt to use the product results in a crash at the loading screen just after the call of Contact is made.

Hi Feathered - Please send all the log files, plus sysinfo putput and dxdiag output (see the last 2 pages of the WOFF UE FAQ on how to gather) plus send with your order number to support email address (see the FAQ for that too).

PS is your GPU a Radeon 470 or 480?

I'm not using a Radeon GPU, but an Nvidia instead. I've just updated the drivers to be sure it wasn't that, but the problem still persists.
I'll assemble the system information and send it through straight away. Thank you too for the very quick response!
