He goes from studio quality mic to the headset mic.
That will always standout.
Indeed, and that's a fair point. However, in this clip, the guy goes from his studio mic to the Razer Man O'War mic and I must say the difference is minimal especially when you consider one is a studio mic and the other is a headset mic.
I like the battery concept as well, but given the price... plus the H/800 can't do bluetooth, is hard to find and is £40-50 more expensive than the Razer. Add that to the mic issue... Flying BMS in MP means I'll be using the mic a lot...
Whereas the Razer has better mic and does not seem to lack in the audio...
At the moment that £90 is pushing me to the Razer.
But then the stylish low profile lightweight Arctis 7 keep catching my eye. They have the same drivers as the 800 in a neater package. I think the Mic is still substandard, but they look lightweight and comfortable. Moreso that the Razer and the 800 for that matter
I currently use HyperX cloud and that is the best headset I have owned, apart from some Sennheiser headphones I used to use in the old days before I did teamspeak and comms. They are light, super comfortable and have good sound and mic.
Only they also have a wire dangling. Which wasn't an issue until I got the HAV UTC......curse you Bart!

Hahaha!! Curses indeed!!
This is one reason why the A50s are out of the picture... I can't imagine mounting the UTC there. Same issue with the Logi G933s. One of the solutions I'm thinking about is putting a velcro on the side of the headset and the removable side covers (magnetic) of the G933s make it less-than-ideal.
I went with the Razer Man o' War but had to return it twice due to issues with the headset falling apart --- either very poor design or very weak materials used. On my 2nd headset, I just returned it and got my cash back and then plunked the dough for a SteelSeries Siberia 840. I just got these a week ago so further testing required to see if this new one will last longer.
Using the 840 for a phone call, the wife said I sounded far away so the 840's mic is definitely inferior to the Man o' War....

Still love my 933s. Battery life hasn’t dipped.
I discovered a helluva bargain for nighttime bedroom use. Bluetooth and very inexpensive. They claim a 40hr battery life, but I haven’t timed it. Very pleased though, I only charge once a week but use them nightly for hours. Can’t comment on mic. I bought a cheap $15 bluetooth transmitter to use with the tv. Sounds good for tv, especially for the money ($45) and battery life.
Don't really have a reccomendation. I've been using the Plantronics GameCom 377 for a few years now. Had to duct tape them together at one point but they still work fine.

Hi Fuzzy, I went with the Siberia 840 too, had it a few months now and very pleased with it I am. No complaints from my Squadron mates when using Teamspeak.
Steve, no issues regarding your voice sounding like you're too far from the mic? Or did you have to make some changes somewhere on the setup? I've not installed the program for the Siberia yet.
Nope no complaints. But I only use it for teamspeak. When I set up I didn't bother with the software I have just set the box up using the controls on the box. But I did use the optical to connect to my PC rather than the USB after reading up on setting the siberia 800 series up.
Thanks! What's the issue with USB? I'm using the 3.5mm jacks to connect my speakers to the PC so I am using the USB to connect the box to the PC for the 840.

A bit off topic but I had a Razer Blackwidow (2013?) keyboard outright die within two months. It just stopped working one day. I never disassembled it, moved it around, removed key caps or anything. It just died. Razer mice seem to be okay (I use Logitech myself) but their other peripherals seem to be fairly hit or miss.
I know you already purchased your headset, but if anyone else is looking for a decent headset and is mainly interested in the audio quality and comfort do look into the HyperX Cloud (not Cloud II and preferable not Cloud Pro). Extremely comfortable and the audio is fairly good; but you will need your own DAC or sound card unless you like stereo. These are known as "Qpad" in Europe and may have different package options. HyperX also released a newer headset, the Alpha, but I have not tried that one yet.
I will say the Cloud's MIC quality is fairly poor but I'd expect it considering the price range of the Cloud. So if that is of importance, it might be better to look elsewhere such as the more expensive Sennheiser Game Zero.

I totally agree. I used a HyperX Cloud before the Siberia. IMO it is the best wired headset I have ever owned and at a very good price too.Good sound and the most comfortable i have ever used.
