Saw "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." Overall, I liked it better than "The Force Awakens." AS for whether it was the best Star Wars ever or at least since "Empire" I'm not sure yet. THe story was good, there were some good surprises here and there, and some laughs as well that worked pretty well. But there were also a few things that were left unexplained JJ Abrams style.
But overall, it was pretty good.
Also, I thought it pretty cool that Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie was in it. It was a nice legacy.

I just gotta say, Luke is the most powerful jedi. That's all I'm sayin.

Not sure, because Rogue One hits on different notes. But I will say that I let out quite a few "holy #%&*$#" during it.

I almost cried in a couple scenes. They were more like cries when your favorite team wins.
This one eeked out more emotions from me than any other SW film, mostly due to the "yes that's what I always wanted to see" content.

Loved it! Not sure what my favorite SW movie is now, these last 3 give ESB some real competition. We got stuck in 3D too. Well done, most movies it’s a non-factor that I forget about after a few minutes, but this one it kept looking good with it.

The bad guys, seriously..... « mom, I’ve been naughty, shall I get to my room now ? » Former marine I’ve read somewhere, Abrams has him look as if one could pour milk from his nostrils. Marilyn Manson looks meaner. And the redhead clown... At least the good guys look good, if somewhat dumb. The cocky pilot and the black adventurer are cool, but Han was both of them, and more badass. Anyway, if things keep going the way they go, ep 9 will be a huis-clos.

I've decided that to say it was the best Star Wars movie ever is overrating it. To say it was better than Empire, I don't agree. To say it was the best one since Empire, probably...but not counting Rogue One.
I also like the dedication to Carrie Fisher in the end credits...

I’m still of a mind that ESB is still the best. Star Wars, Rogue and TFA... I can’t decide. Then this one, but those 4 are all very close. All that really matters is that the new ones rank at that high a level. Gives me hope for the Han movie, and Obi Wan that I think comes later. Surely an Obi Wan movie will show Rey is his kid? They’ll have to explain the gap to her being sold off by others.

Dang good offering, and I put it on level with New Hope.
Not a perfect film, but the best of the lot since the OrigTrig.
The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events. More dumb stuff at http://www.darts-page.comFrom Laser: "The forum is the place where combat (real time) flight simulator fans come to play turn based strategy combat."

I remember. I believe she was sold off, but I didn’t believe they were her parents or that that was the whole story. It would be fine if it was, it isn’t like Force users are all related, but that isn’t how SW rolls. Who knows, maybe she’s related to the stable boy? They showed him, what, 3 times? Or it could be that with her and that kid they want to reassert that users are out there all over the place and unelated.

Rey is the one that Yoda was talking about when he said "there is another" in ESB to Obi Wan just after Luke left. Not Princess Leia as everyone had thought. Obviously ESB was written so that Yoda was referring to Leia, but it was weak dialogue, and clearly a weak link in the whole Jedi thing because Leia sucks as a "hope". The current writers saw this weak link, and are cleverly changing the meaning of that statement. It fits and it works quite well.
How do I know this?
Because Yoda could see the future. And Because Leia did absolutely NOTHING to be worthy of the "there is another" comment from Yoda. She didn't use the force in a worthy way, didn't don a lightsaber, didn't move rocks.
And.. well I will this comment out not to spoil the movie, but for those that saw Last Jedi, you know why Yoda was referring to Rey now...
Now, who is her parents? Well... its very likely to be.... offspring of Benjamin Kenobi.
Which...
Perfectly sets the backdrop for a separate movie about Ben.

The scene where Chewie is cooking his dinner was a good laugh, and that moment where it went silent for ten seconds was funny for me because of the little girl behind me who suddenly said "Uh-Oh" in a tiny little voice causing the whole theater to erupt in laughter.

68% drop off in box office in the second weekend. That's very high. a good film is usually around 50% or less I think. There is a lot of bad word of mouth going around.

saw it Sat with my boys, my oldest (16) loved it, it was his second time seeing it. I thought it sucked, hated the humor they were trying to put in.
