Hooked me up on the first episode.

You and I my friend are on the same wavelength I think. I literally just came into this forum to create a thread on this show. I just discovered it two days ago and I LOVE IT!!! I'm on episode 7 right now. I think the synthesized music soundtrack is absolutely AMAZING! Brings up some good memories as well as its a great show for folks who like mysteries/supernatural stuff. It definitely has the thematic culture of the Goonies and the more recent Super 8. I recommend it heartily.

My wife and I saw the trailer and 80's Spielberg is exactly what we thought too. LOL

Watched it and really enjoyed it. I thought all the kids did very good jobs acting out their roles. I hope it gets a second season.

Do they have token or surprise gay characters in it? After the bullcrap they pulled in Black Sails I'm very leery of modern shows now. I don't mind the folks, but I don't like agendas being crammed down my throat, either.

I feel the same way Mr_Blastman. I don't think you have anything to worry about. All the kids seem to be pretty normal and nothing in the first season I saw was preachy about anything. The story has to do with some MK Ultra type stuff. Its got some language a la Goonies with the kids some sexual references and behavior with the teens.

In most things I don't care for Winona Ryder but I really liked her in this show. At first she kind of annoyed me but once you see her get into character I think she did a great job as a loving, concerned but frizzled and stressed out mom.

Just watched episodes 1-6 last night, and man this show blew me away, fun to watch, good pacing, great music and acting, and a good sci-fi thriller without needing to rely on gratuitous violence.

Looking forward to watching the last 2 episodes tonight and season 2 later this year.

This was one of the better shows I've watched lately. I hope the 2nd series is as good.

The only thing I saw out of place was a new Dish Network dish on a house that Johnathon drives by on his way to his dads.

Oh that's nothing! There's a scene in the Civil War movie "Glory" where you see a slave boy waving on the side of the road and you can clearly see a digital watch on his wrist. Doh!

He is a time traveling observer.

"Give 'em hell 54"...sorry . Love that movie and scene. I'll have to keep and eye out for that kid.

I'm tempted to rewatch season one of Stranger Things before starting part 2. Just started the last of Longmire. Man tv sure is good these days and overall better than the movies.

Love the show, wife and me have watched both seasons a couple times now. Looking forward to whats next.

Both seasons here terrific. And some of the best performances I have EVER seen from child actors.

I liked it but found the 2nd season a little lacking. Aside from just not being fresh, can’t help that, no fault there, it just didn’t seem as well put together. The story was too scattered. Still better than most shows out though...I’m looking at YOU Walking Dead! That show hasn’t moved in a year and a half.

As long as TWD is making a profit for AMC, they will not let it end!
