Hey Everyone, Would appreciate if anyone could help my 70s/80s rock band Rising Phoenix out by voting us Best Cover Band in Wisconsin for 2017 at the following link below it only takes a minute: http://foundinwi.com/wisconsin/25-top-cover-bands-...sconsin-vote-for-best-of-2017/ Originally we weren't added to the list, so we told our fans to write us into the "other" category. We had so many write ins they put us on the actual list last night but it looks like you can't re-vote so we need some extra help catching up to the other bands who were on there from the start. Thanks for voting and check us out in 2018 playing all over Wisconsin! http://www.RisingPhoenixBand.com

Let's see...your band performs hit songs by: "Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Journey, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Poison, Def Leppard, Ozzy, Dio, Van Halen, Firehouse, Aerosmith, Rush, Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Twisted Sister, Warrant, ZZ Top, Whitesnake, Ratt, Skid Row, Tesla, ...and more!" Bah, I hate cover bands and anyway, all those bands suck! Dude, as far as I'm concerned, you're living the dream! I voted for your band just based on who you cover, don't know if it's going to help though as "Other" is in the lead right now, followed by "RPM". But man, I wish you were in Louisiana. Good luck.

I got "404 error page not found" when I tried the link. Choose Wisconsin in the top menu and you'll see the link, no Facebook required. Just select the band and press Vote.

#%&*$# man March 3rd at Lucky Chance bar - that's 10 minutes from here! see ya then! Clydewinder, that would be March 2nd. kestrel79, in the list of bands you cover, your website lists ZZ Top twice. Does this mean you're really heavy on the ZZ Top? Hey, nothing wrong with that.

Thanks guys! Just something I do for fun...helps pay for sim gear I'm the lead singer. Been with these guys now 4 years, everyone in the band is very talented and easy to get along with. Every year we play a few more shows and some higher profile ones and 2018 is looking even better so far. We cover a pretty wide range around Wisconsin so come out and see us if we're close! That will be our first time in West Allis when we play Lucky Chance, we need as many people there as possible to hopefully have a shot at Summerfest or State Fair and impress some booking agents! The 2 cover songs were recorded in a studio they did a good job. We recorded those both in 1 take, no fancy studio tricks just us playing. Took a few times to get it right but we were all pretty happy with it. Sorry about the link, that seemed to work fine earlier. I'll see if I can make it better. Yes it's a pretty quick vote you don't need facebook or to register. Just click and vote. I fixed the website. We do play 2 ZZ Top songs...maybe that's why I listed it twice in my brain by accident haha. Thanks for checking it out, you can proof over it on your own a bunch of times and never catch something another person can thanks.

kestrel79, I'm guessing that many of the songs that you cover are older than you are. That's awesome. I believe 70's and 80's music (especially Classic Rock) is going to be covered regularly for a long long time.

kestrel79,
I believe 70's and 80's music (especially Classic Rock) is going to be covered regularly for a long long time. Absolutely since there are really no bands now that still write that style of music. Maybe the Foo Fighters are one of the rare exceptions?

Thank you! I'll be 35 in March. My Dad was a big 80's rock guy and my Mom was really into 70s stuff so I loved all that stuff when it wasn't cool to like it in the 90s and 2000s in high school and college. We do pull in a younger crowd than your typical 80s rock band cause most of the guys are in their mid 30s early 40s. A lot of this music is younger kid's classic rock myself included and it's more popular than you think cause their parents pass it down to them. I'm always trying to get better and move around more, it gets easier the more you do it. When I first started I would just stand there and look down at the ground, having some shots helps too There are some newer bands that still have an old school sound. The Darkness and Avenged Sevenfold being 2 of my favorites.
