This is how Canada will plans to get around the soft wood lumber trade dispute with the U.S.....one tree at a time.

I wonder when Christmas trees inside private homes first started as a tradition? My guess would be sometime in the 1800's. Much earlier Panzer. Germany is credited with starting the Christmas tree tradition as we now know it in the 16th century when devout Christians brought decorated trees into their homes. Some built Christmas pyramids of wood and decorated them with evergreens and candles if wood was scarce.

Interesting info Chucky. Thanks for posting that! **nerd nitpicking time** Of course in the 16th century there was no "Germany" but instead the Holy Roman Empire and associated principalities.

I think Canada's best Christmas tree is in Boston Common right now. Nova Scotia still sends one each year.
What kind of car is that? What does it matter? When I drive it, I'm Steve McQueen

we grow lots here in North Carolina mountains, but have had several tough years and they have not planted as many so this year the numbers are down.
