I've been looking at the screenshots of Kuban. Beautiful map. I saw the tree covered hills and thought, "That could pass for New Guinea." Hmmm...
I realize, of course, that there are no Japanese planes. But what about the LA-5 painted as a Zero or Oscar? Lagg-3, maybe, posing as a Tony. One of the twin engined Russian bombers can pose as Japanese, too! The U.S. would have the P-40, P-39, and the A-20. Just a thought . I know a lot of people don't like this sort of thing, but it could be fun. Something different. I'm considering the Kuban sim. I often get an Amazon gift card or a Steam gift card in my stocking. Sometimes both. If I see one this year, might get this. Your screenshots make it hard to wait for Bodenplatte. Also considering waiting for the free demo to come out and then buy a few collector planes, instead. But, anyway, what about the Pacific idea?

Well, when I pick this up I may go over there and make some requests. Are the P-39 and A-20 in game yet?

No, using the '109 as Zero wouldn't make sense. I'm thinking the La-5 because of it's radial engine. Would be a good stand in. And the Lagg with that inline engine and radiator under the fuselage would be a pretty good Tony. Ah, just a thought.

Yeah, I know that the whole P-51/262 thing has been done before, but not with such amazing graphics. As a matter of fact, Janes WW2 Fighters was almost this same planeset and time period. Still, can't wait. But about that New Guinea idea. I'm not sure I understand. Is that "nope" from you? Doesn't sound good?

Ah...so my idea wasn't as original as I had believed. You guys had already thought of it. What about Japanese bombers?
