DX9 fails to install. Carefully followed the Install Instructions, after I discovered them in the FAQ. Get this error:

DirectX Setup
An internal system error occured
Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.lot in your Windows folder to determine problem.

Your Forum program refuses to attach a log file.

SimHQ runs the forum, not us. But please send logs to support email (see last 2 pages of the WOFF UE FAQ).

DX9 installs for 1000s of customers with no issues, so something is broken or blocking it on your PC. Maybe set dxsetup.exe to "run as an administrator" in it's properties, compatibility?

I did try "as administrator" and had the same issues, even did a hard reboot and no joy.

Will get started on creating the support documentation, was hoping it was a common and easy thing to fix.

Oddly, enough WOFF seemed to run, up until it CTD over the CFS3 issue. Of course, it seemed to run with screens not dynamic scenery and aircraft.
