Bought the original BoS and was a very sceptical user back in early days, but fair play to 777 things have changed a lot and much listening seems to have been done, went on to buy BoM and last week bought Battle of Kuban premium edition (Ju 52 too) still early access I think, but when I start sim I see nothing to suggest that confirms I've actually bought this, no extra download was needed? Email verification of my purchases are good.

Splash screen at top shows BOS/BOM/BOK, so I guess just waiting for more components of the BOK extension to be finished and released, right? Looking forward to flying in the Kuban map and happy to wait if thats the case, just need re-assurance I have this to look forward to if its still in the works.

Kuban map is already available for fly since the update 2.012 (08/29/2017).

What remain to be realized of BoK is some planes, e.g. P-39L-1, A-20B... and the SP Campaign, subject of their latest DD.

That is some really interesting text by BlackSix, if it wasn't for the retarded mission editor I would buy BoK tonight already and wait for his campaign to show up.

This originally started to be released in 2014 and is not yet completed? I don't have any of these titles but I have pre-purchased the Bodenplatte title. Is that the general timeline that these have been following? I may not have the full game for another three or four years? Please tell me no.

I'm not an eager follower (yet) of this series but I think Kuban started development in september 2016 and should be out any minute now (end of the year is their estimate).
Bodenplatte should be ready for use early/mid 2019.
(or do they have a release estimate somewhere?)

They actually produce addons pretty fast not to say lightning fast if comparing with DCS.
I found a DevDieary saying there was 15 month between announcement of Kuban to ditto for Bodenplatte, pretty good (I've had my DCS Viggen almost a year in alpha/beta and aren't hoping for final release before next summer, if even. Features come and go with each DCS update so someone is not used to keep code in order - last update killed release function for illumination bombs and I think there's a new update the other day that had textures disappear - I haven't bothered updating DCS lately).

Thanks for the reply. The initial public announcement about this mentioned a Spring of 2018 early release. That was a big reason for the pre-purchase, which I NEVER do. But, I have to admit, I'm excited about this title. I'm hoping that the 2018 early release is correct and that they are able to get something out.

IL-2:BoX series you don't need await their finalize the game to play, the contend is released as became ready, first some planes, then the map, more planes and finally campaign.

Probable in Spring of 2018 will be released one or two planes of BoBp and until the map came (e.g. BoK map was released in August 2017 - first plane of BoK Bf 109 G-4 was released in December 2016), players that made pre-order can use this released planes in other maps.

Don't know the situation of someone that don't own any previous "Battle", but are a map of small part of Stalingrad map, as well the add on map Velikye Luki that probable can be used for this cases, then you can use your P-47/51... in QM against AI planes of all models already released since BoS.

In Bo'X series the "final release" has nothing special, because people already are using most of contend, basically the "final release" is the release of SP campaign, so when this happen people already are asking for the next "X" - what is good for the business. wink

Weeell... The ME is "different". But once you "get" how it works, it's super-powerful. Basically, you're scripting, but visually, without all that syntax and brackets stuff. It's really powerful, and once you get used to it, not that hard. Everything you could do in '46 or CloD is straightforward. More intricate stuff requires work!

I started with Bob Vanderstock's RoF ME videos here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvN86qjIZV8&list=PL724688FAC76E4385

But if you're depriving yourself of what, in my humbles, is the most visceral and thrilling cfs available at the moment because you think the ME is "retarded", that's a bit of a shame.

Edit: Bob gets into the "logic" of programming mission elements to do stuff (even the most basic stuff like following waypoints) in his 4th video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Rhb_nu-jlw&index=4&list=PL724688FAC76E4385. That's the off-putting thing about the ME. It's unintuitive to do the easy things, but that gives you a lot more power to manipulate the more complex things!
