Boy, that is really nice. Everything all rounded off and high res lookin'. They did a good job. Was one of my favorites when I had the sim.

P-38G, "Miss Virginia", serno.43-2264, pilot Capt. Robert Petit (Major General retired), Guadalcanal operations circa 1943.
In April 1943, Lt. Rex Barber flew this plane and shot down the G4M Betty bombers in the successful Operation Vengeance mission


Credits: P-38G is from the P-38H Mod by barnesy.

Barnesy's P-38H mod features a newly mapped tail section that has individual left and
right vertical tail sections.So now the a/c number is no longer reversed on one side as before.
You can see this on "32264" number on the two screenshots.

If you've ever run out of fuel while on the return flight back to Guadalcanal in the Operation Vengeance
mission, you can try lowering the engine RPM on just the last long leg of the flight back from Bouganville.
Lower the RPM using the pitch control so that it goes down to about 2100 rpm. Then you can re-engage
the Autopilot and cruise home with adequate fuel left in the reserve (forward) tank as you arrive back at
Kukum AF on Guadalcanal.
