Eat right! Make sure you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies.

Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin C.

Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps build your immune system.

Walk for at least hour a day, go for a swim, take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.

Wash your hands often. If you can't wash them, keep a bottle of antibacterial stuff around. -

Get lots of fresh air. Open windows whenever possible.

Constant handwashing is probably the best preventative - wash your hands any time you have touched a door or another person's hands. When you get home the first thing you should do inside your house is wash your hands properly with soap. Proper handwashing technique is not as simple as running hands under warm water with soap for a few seconds. Do it right and you'll almost never get sick:

I am not disagreeing but since I have two attention loving dogs, I would be going through an incredible amount of soap and water every day.
