Wife and me will be sitting down tonight watching the new shows.

How would you describe the show? I've not seen even a single episode but I've heard it described as a modern day cop drama + Western.

That describes it very well PanzerMeyer. It is basically about an aging cop out in the middle of nowhere fighting against technology and corporate corruption along with indian reservation politics.

Its basically the wild west clashing with modern technology. It is very good. You cant really describe it better without giving away too much of the plot. It is worth watching at least the first few seasons.

Thanks for that info. I may just go ahead and give season 1 a shot. I admit that a big plus for me is the fact that Katee Sackhoff is in it.

Longmire is one of the best shows I've ever watched. It's well written and well acted. Great plot twists from time to time, the actors really work well together. I promise, if you watch two episodes, you will be hooked.

She is the reason I started watching it and stayed for the story.

I need to pick it back up, I only watched about half of the first Netflix season. The change in cast was disappointing, but fit with the story.
The Punisher is out today too IIRC.

Um, yeah I have been checking it out to. I need to remember to go back into Netflix and back it up before getting the wife from work.
She would not be happy I was watching it without her.

Girlfriend and I got to meet Lou Diamond Phillips a few weeks ago.

It is good to see him in something other than a horrible straight to tv/dvd movie lol.

He was definitely a rising star back in the 80's when he had the lead role in movies like "La Bamba" and "Stand and Deliver".

Unfortunately, he seems to be a setting star now....

I love the Longmire series. Can't wait to start this last season. Great writing and acting as all have said. I don't know if its much of a giveaway but Panzer, there is a stellar one-eyed monologue by the lead actor at some point in one of the early seasons when he sits down with a social worker.(Can't remember which one) Longmire is such a great character. Fiercely loyal to the core and though flawed like anyone, he maintains an adherence to a code of conduct, ethics and honesty that is more and more uncommon and unmatched. I look forward to seeing what this season has in store. I'm sad it will be over though.

We sat and watched the the first 4 episodes and it was fantastic so far. Had to confess to her, watched some of the first episode to get an idea.

We met him the weekend before his arrest.

Very cool. I like Lou Diamond Phillips. Seems like a nice guy. His Marine character in "Courage Under Fire" always kind of creeped me out. He does a great job in Longmire.

Finished it yesterday. Overall a good seasons. Not their best season but not their worst. I assume that this is the last season?

It is from my understanding so I hope they bring it to a place of closure and hopefully an uplifting or satisfying end.

Going to be watching it over and over since I pay for it. Then going back to the Expanse.On Itunes
