Just have faith.
It's for something good.

Well one thing about this developer, they deliver what they say they are going to deliver.

That could be argued both ways really. They heavily hinted that the BoK development was to pave the way into the pacific where they would test their boat/water tech before launching pacific. Many people bought BoK solely to fund Pacific and now there is no concrete Pacific schedule anymore.

I am truly and seriously gutted to hear the news about the Pacific delay. Im also one of those who only bought BoK to fund pacific. I dont think I have even logged in and flown any of the BoK planes or terrain. Now the hard part of more waiting... and waiting.

Well I doubt anyone wants a half assed version of the Pacific. If the delay means a high quality version then I can wait a bit longer.

That is true. Also this means that when Pacific IS finally released we might be flying dVIIs and camels off the decks biggrin I do hope they manage to get the RoF, WWII and multicrew tanks all into the same engine so they can be used together at the same time. Its completely pointless historically but still would be fun.

Didn't stop BoS to be released, did it?

Edit: Found this gem at the mad house "But Today's announcement made me spend money that I did not even have! Now I will have to not eat lunch for the rest of the month."
I mean, seriously, retard?

I don't 'moderate' very often Oden.
But your post woke me up.
One more time with the slur's like that, and it will wake YOU up.
I'll leave it stand, for people to see.
You are 'proud' of that type of name calling, right?

When BoS was released I bought it, and then sold it on pretty quick. I was a huge detractor in those days, Different world now, With Jason in charge and the new direction (the direction it always should have been) I've re bought BoS, bought BoM, bought BoK, and will buy the new ones too .I've become a bit of a fan boy TBH.

When did the BoX decision makers realize that doing a PTO scenario based on Midway would be “really hard”?

Frogyy2, with mere speculation from my part I would guess the water-tech creating Kuban turned out very very complicated even creating Bodenplatte would be so significantly much easier they had to postpone the empty open blue water stuff.

Sometimes life is tough.

Sometimes it comes down to customer base. This issue has already been raised in another post. If you view the projected “new” aircraft for the next (BoB) title you see more variations on staple offerings with a few new opposing types introduced to provide a variety of targets. I doubt there will ever be appetite for a PTO in the likely customer base. So why was the fantasy of a PTO scenario ever floated?

This is my only concern for the small RoF plane set import. Have there been any decent AI upgrades since RoF? AI can always be improved, but is it better than "Split S dive to the deck and then turn in endless circles at low altitude until shot down?"

Well, I have to admit that Operation Bodenplatte raised my eyebrows. I sure as Hell wish that it wasn't going to be seventy bucks, though. Mustangs and Thunderbolts and Lightnings done with the incredible attention to detail that I've seen in the Russian Front screenshots. Oh Momma. I'll be awfully tempted! What does "Collector" mean? You have to pay extra for that one? I guess I could live without the P-38. A favorite, but what the Hell. Plenty of other airplanes. And that P-47 will help to lighten the blow! Wasn't expecting them to do this. Okay....I'm interested, Jason!! And WW1? These guys have been busy.

There will probably be a 'standard' edition for $49.99, but that won't come with the P-38 or D9 FW. You can buy them separately later. I usually just buy the standard editions, or even better, in a sale, but will stump up the 70 bucks for Bodenplatte. It's probably a year away so plenty of time to save up if money is tight.

It's not about the price! it's the principal. Games these days are getting to expensive for what they give you. There is no way I'd pay 80 bucks for a few planes and....

*looks at his iRacing account and StarCitizen account and his DCS account and all those FSX planes...*

Well, maybe 80 bucks isnt so bad...

Exactly. I'm more annoyed at the money I feel I've thrown away for DCS to be honest, and as for Star Citizen...

Owners of Standard edition could buy this extra for $20 each.

Special cases is Ju-52, not included in any premium version - was released after BoM, is only available standalone for $25.00, and received the "Collector Plane" name - now applied to all optional planes.
Same for BF 109 G-6 and La5FN, not planed for BoK, but released after as players request.

This "collector Planes" can be used in any of Bo'X map, regardless "historic" there or not (in MP is host decision use), trend started with that "Fw 190 over Stalingrad". smile

Could future plans described in today’s announcements have adverse effect on CloD development schedule?

No, CLoD was never attached to this version of IL2 and is now owned by the team fusion mod team. These plans for the current IL2 should not affect any aspect of CloD except maybe in a competition means.

49.99 does sound a bit more reasonable. The airplane that's exciting me about the whole thing is just the P-47, anyway. That's probable less than the DCS P-47 will cost, and there you'll just be getting the single airplane. That's it. So here I'll be getting my Thunderbolt, campaign, map and a half a dozen other planes.
But you say it's probably a year away. Guess I got a bit ahead of myself and assumed sooner. Yeah, I'm probably going to wind up getting this. Haven't bought a new flight sim in years. I'm due.

Not sure where your info comes from. How does TFS own CloD?
