Just more hints and small nondescript details plus another piece of concept art, but I thought it worth passing along. It appears there will be some firm announcements before year end.

One thing that caught my eye was about a statement that studio head Mike Simpson made in a long gone interview. However, fans have continued to quote it as if it were gospel.

The exact quote is:

Quote
Mike Simpson gave an interview years ago that we see fans quote all the time, where he says he doesn’t think we’ll do a “3”. That is a long time ago. We’ve changed our minds a hundred times on that since, so all bets are off when we’re thinking of our next game.

This opens the door for a Medieval 3 which would make a lot of people happy.

Cheer

Artillery adds dignity to what would otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

Medieval 3 would be nice but I prefer an Empire 2 or a Napoleon 2.

I would definitely be happy with any of those smile

I'm still waiting for early modern pike and shot though...

This is Bobby Rahal, thanks for playing the trial version of Microsoft's CART Precision Racing

Sounds like you want a Thirty Years War TW game!

Yes. So many nations, turn factions with religious mechanics. Could be so much fun. That and you get a Shogun 2 style mix of units and tactics. Maybe add in some exploration to get riches from the new world. smile

I would most certainly buy that! For the overall mainstream gamer crowd though I think it would be a bit too esoteric for a TW title.
