our community would be a much happier one if people let bygone be bygones - and I am afraid that it will be much worse by the time 2.5 is out. Oh ain't that the truth. As the saying goes, 'holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned'. Pity the few with obvious blisters don't seem to realise it. Even more pity if they do and are content with the blisters

it is going to be something to watch we'll have Hormuz 2.5 F/A-18A Harrier all being released in a short space of time I'm fine with people taking up the side of ED/DCS, but again, an attack on ED/DCS is not an attack on the person defending ED/DCS. If I am arguing about the state of the product, the planned release roadmap, the delays, the mismanagement, and other issues with ED/DCS, then let's talk about those topics and any other topics that relates to ED/DCS.

As has always been the case, the ball is squarely in ED's court. I'm fine with people taking up the side of ED/DCS, but again, an attack on ED/DCS is not an attack on the person defending ED/DCS. Take it to pm's if you need to.... Not really interested in taking it to PMs as this isn't a discussion about FACTS anymore but rather an exposé of Flogger's character. I'd be happy to continue it on a public space where it is allowed, but I've read the PWEC section rules and immediately take it off as an option due to rule #1. Suggestions? Attacking someone's character is not what these forms are about. Nowhere on these forums...in any section is it OK to do so.
It's unfortunate...but bringing this up yet again after a warning not to, has forced my hand to give you time off.
LET IT GO.

A 20 second clip that shows absolutely nothing! Belsimtek and ED must have such confidence regarding their progress Yes, I fully agree! Again and unsurprisingly there's nothing new here...

"looks very, very good - I'll sure miss not having bought it , but that is the way it is.
Yeah, that's how I'm feeling about all of this, right now. "That would have been cool to have." But I just can't. All this just takes too long to develope and too costly. I'd like to have that Harrier. But not at that price. And I'd want the Nevada map to really enjoy it. More money. And then the F-18. Then buy the Hormuz map. Geez! Same thing with the WW2 stuff. '109, 190, '51, Spit, '47, all at 50 to 60 bucks apiece. We're in the area of over 250 dollars, there. 40 or 50 more for the Normandy map and then , 30 or 40 more to populate it. And if you want that Spitfire campaign it's another 10 or so. So over 300 dollars to have a nice DCS WW2 setup? I can't be spending that kind of money just to play games. I just pre-ordered Operation Bodenplatte and I'll be getting all that I just mentioned and more for 69 dollars. And they're expecting to have an early release in the Spring of 2018. I'm not trying to put down ED. DCS does have some nicely done airplanes but I need more bang for my buck. And at my age I don't want to wait years for something to come out!

in a nutshell - exactly how I feel about DCS, and 100% spot on.

Then there's the possibility that the new carriers will be a for-purchase DLC as well....

Bodenplatte looks pretty good...Tanks too, finally some positives in the flight sim world, amazing what a small company can produce when it's not propped up by military contracts, impressive stuff.

I was speaking with a new friend, and told him "My comic relief scene of DCS F/A-18C "
Characters: Management/Sales/Producer Guy Coder/Engineer Guy
Scene 1, Act 1 "Roll!!"
Management/Sales/Producer Guy " Hell yeah, this sh!t is ready for prime time"
Coder/Engineer Guy " umm, we can not even get it started and off the ground yet much less perform any of the operational functions the air frame for was designed for"
Management/Sales/Producer Guy " Great, just what I wanted to hear, I am making a public statement right now. This sh!t is going to sell like hotcakes"
Coder/Engineer Guy " Oh My God"
Management/Sales/Producer Guy " So when will it be ready?"
Coder/Engineer Guy " umm, I told you, we can not even get it started and off the ground yet much less perform any of the operational functions the air frame for was designed for"
Management/Sales/Producer Guy " Outstanding work you techie geeks, I will tell them soon in my public announcement"
Coder/Engineer Guy " Oh My God"
"Cut !!" "That's a print"
