Even BMS a FREE mod from a sim made in 1998 works flawlessly.

DCS World is so frustrating.

I cleaned and repaired my install even though I have no mods installed.

The sim hangs when I click the mission tab even though I have a superfast m2 ssd drive stick.

The throttle on the su 27 does not move at all in the Flaming Cliffs 3 startup training mission.

Windows 10 may be the issue with this sim as DCS World refuses to play footy with me.

Also trim problems with the su 25t on the training startup mission.

The training missions do load so I guess that's one thing but when I click the normal mission tab ,the sim hangs.

Any suggestions before I lose it?

You may need to lower some settings, the 1050ti is a low /mid spec card, close to the GTX 960

10 Su-25T training videos

Go to the C:\Users\[user name]\Saved Games\DCS[...]\MissionEditor folder, remove the settings.lua file and let the game rebuild a new one. If you're on DCS 1.5.7 version, it will solve the mission loading freeze problem for sure, if you're on 2.1.1, it might solve it or not. Can't help with control issues, as I don't own or fly FC3 planes.

While we're at it, a tip for the future - this Saved Games\DCS location on C: drive is where all your personal DCS settings and records are stored, so if something's effed up in these, you can clean up and repair your actual game folder all day long and it won't do anything, as neither repair not cleanup scripts touch the Saved Games at all. Every now and then you'll need to remove this folder (after making a backup, of course) to narrow down various issues.

lately DCS crashes a lot - many times when trying to exit after testing a skin , the sim freezes up and I am lucky in that I can ALT+CTRL+DEL to kill the process, otherwise I would lose all the other stuff that is open.

you should not let these CTD give you the wrong impression, DCS is constantly being updated and hopefully in the near future we will get a more stable version.
