That was wonderful!
I recently decided to work my way through every T&J episode from 1939 on. I called a halt after the Hanna-Barbera era ('58 or '59?) because I no longer enjoyed them. They lost something after that.

I love how much they're are enjoying themselves Nate Picturing the animations that went with this music must make it next to impossible not to have fun.

I'd love to be in the audience listening to them play those recognizable tunes.
Speaking of horns...just found out Chicago is coming to BR but I'm not paying $175.00/seat for worst seats than I had for Kansas at $35.00 (about my max.). Oh well, would have been a wonderful Friday evening but I have my limits with these old bands. Wow, that is pricey. If you ever get a chance to see them, for a reasonable price, take it. I have seen them three times in the past 10 years (seats averaged $75) and every show was nothing short of awesome. Btw, Start Making Sense is out and about this fall. I will be seeing them on Dec. 27th.

Chicago charging that much? Who do they think they are? Taylor Swift?

Chicago charging that much? Who do they think they are? Taylor Swift? Who? Yeah, it's a real shame because it would have been an epic date night! We put their original greatest hits (Chicago IX: Greatest Hits '69 - '74) in our top 5, possibly top 3 albums. Lots of good Peter Cetera 80's hits came after (some a little sappy but that's alright). Looks like they've had two singers since Peter (the current singer just joined), with two horn players and the keyboardist being the only original members from their heyday. I'm sure they put on a great show but they're more of a tribute of themselves, IMO. Partly my fault for not getting tickets quick enough as they had $37.00 seats (very back rows of balcony). Usually for a Classic Rock band in the River City Theater, it's $25.00 - $35.00 for balcony and $35.00 - $45.00 for floor. For this one it's $37.00 - $67.00 for balcony and $175.00 for floor. Nope. I'm sure they put on a *great* show but I'm not paying more than tribute band money (in this case I would have gone up to $50.00 for decent seats). EDIT: Our first date (the first time either of us had been on a date, mom dropped us off ) was Alabama's "Roll On" tour (1984) and I'm pretty sure our tickets were no more than $15.00, I seem to remember them being $12.50 and without additional fees. Using an inflation calculator, $15.00 in 1984 at 137.6% cumulative rate of inflation would be equal to $35.63 today, a sweet price for concert tickets.

Heck, floor seats for Rush at the venue I saw them at in Florida were nowhere near $175.
Chicago put out a lot of great music and I also have their greatest hits volume 1 but let's face it, their mainstream hey-day ended a long time ago so their concert ticket prices need to reflect that.

More related to original topic, I love the old cartoons. My wife bought me this years ago from the Warner Bros. Store in New Orleans as an anniversary present, it's always moved me.... I definitely wasn't expecting that reaction. Seeing that pic hit me just about as hard as the first time I saw it all those years ago. Wheels
