Tom, do you refer to the specular maps channels??...since yesterdays update, I have noticed that they messed again the RGB channels attributes for the 33 and 27 and thus my corrected speculars are not working as good as before. Also, I tried to make them look good again but I couldn't as it seems like there is some bug? which makes metalic reflection to be "linked" to specular shine in the same channel (red this time) so there is no way to adjust shine and reflection separately and thus, the 27 and the 33 have that "glossy" look now...do you think this is a bug?, I think so as blue and green channels do NOTHING now...
thanks for your fine work mate!!

it looks like they have already changed or added code for 2.5 - that is why things don't seem to work as well as they should which makes metalic reflection to be "linked" to specular shine in the same channel (red this time) some change was made there - the gear and the inside of the intake are all highly reflective now, even more than before. yeah, but I'm refering especially to the glossiness, there is no way to get rid of it without ending with a full matte finish...I think that the way the material shines is configured through 3DS and then adjusted in the specular maps so no way to changed this once it's been changed in 3DS right?...damn, it looked soooo good before

I took all screenshots in DS setting - which I don't know if it is as popular as HDR switch to HDR settings then, it looks like this: I have but the most superficial understanding of how DCS works - but I am sure that DS is sort of the new default, so the skins were made to work in both HDR and DS my guess is also that they aim for models to look like this in flight : I suppose that the developer still has not completely implemented DS in all models or it is still tweaking it, when 2.5 is out, I'll be able to set it better, until then, I am using a more forgiving specular map that can work with all the changes that take place from update to update. personally, I still find HDR better than DS for all models as far as reflections go , although the terrain looks much better in DS.
