There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Yeah, no thanks. No need to tempt fate unnecessarily!

I wonder if you need a powerboat racing license in Thailand?

The local government is likely to collect waterway fees or something either through a formal license or cash payments from boat owners. In Vietnam (and perhaps its true of some of the surrounding countries) officials still collect "under the table" fees from passengers or take some of their goods in lieu of cash.

Cool!

The male (mostly) obsession with powerful engines and speed is near universal!

My grandfather who was born in 1895 said it was "who had the fastest horse" when he was a kid so it's nothing new either.

I had the visible turbo charged inline four engine. Made into a nice model that I had for years.

Same here. As I seem to recall they were crazy expensive for the time compared to most other model kits.

An A Stock hydro tops out just over 60mph. A D Stock tops out at 89mph.
