Waffle House over IHOP any day. My standard is "Cheese and Eggs", 2 eggs scrambled with cheese, buttered toast, grits with butter, hashbrowns and bacon. And coffee, black, of course.

Now I'm hungry.

Upstate, about as far from Myrtle Beach as you can get and still be in SC!

But I was near you Saturday, in Spencer at the NC Transportation Museum.

I remember the first time I was in Myrtle Beach back around 1995. I had no clue it was such a huge tourist trap. biggrin

Don't worry. He got it wrong anyway. wink

8mm = .315 (0.314961)
3/8 =.375
1/2 =.500

10 to 12 mm would have fallen between your numbers.

All measurements no matter if they are Metric or American are strictly numbers and once you get past their names using them becomes second nature. I had to convert metric blueprints to english dimensions so my machine operators would be able to measure the parts properly for years since all of our measuring equipment was scaled in English measurements.

1 mm = .03937

Well..depends.

I like pancakes, sausage, and coffee better than tofu muffins, lame sandals and pumpkin spiced latte.

Shoney's went out of business 10 years or so ago, I believe. Was the only place with a breakfast buffet.

What is this American and British measurements you speak of? I understand they both use Imperial.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Lol, I hung myself with my own smugness. So let's try for Metric and Imperial units of measurement.

Both are correct answers, if one has a flexible notion of what an Empire is.

wink

I actually dug up a decimal chart to help with some of the measurements I needed when building the Nieuport, as my poor brain can do fractions or decimals, but not both at the same time. So I'd do "straight math" and then consult the table for the fractions.

Thankfully, most of the build used the TLAR method of measurement and fit.

I just refer to the conversion process as "decimation"... with the corresponding 1 in 10 chance of getting the correct results. wink

I like giving my aircraft information in “furlongs per fortenight”.

They never ask for weight, but empty weight would be 105 Stone and Gross Ramp would be 182 Stone and a couple pebbles.

A transmission to the tower as I approach to the landing pattern would sound like this -

Leesburg tower this is Cardinal 12345 approximately 1,500 rods southwest at 250 fathoms inbound full stop landing. Speed 40,000 furlongs per fortnight. With information Delta.
