Been away for a while so opened up my Cougars to inspect and deoxit. Throttle was spiking and sticking. Put the Deoxit Fader on the pot and it immediately got better.
After flying more I have to say that the spiking is cured. I love this product and advise to use this first before replacing pots. Actually we should use it as a preventative. IMO.
Take care to notice the spray button is adjustable. I didn't see it the first time I used it a few years ago for vintage audio pots.

Disregard advice on using as mixed lube. It started acting sorta funny tonight. Could be the mix with my grease. Still a great product for rotary pots though!

sorry for mistake.

Thank you DBond.

I opened her up again today to see what's what. The pre-existing grease caked up, so the 2 didn't mix well. I guess I should have known but my confidence in both was high. Just needs to be one or the other.
So I cleaned her up with q-tips and alchohol to get a fresh start. Then I applied only the Deoxit Fader to any spot that'd we would lube. I cleaned the tension pad well too, so I used the Deoxit on it too.
It feesl great again, but I should give it a week or two before saying it's ok. This follow up is for anyone who read the original method and was left hanging.
One thing that is good is Deoxit Fader is compatible with electronics and plastic. Should be good, but I'm still testing her out.

Once I get a more longer term feel for it I'll post back again.
