Took my son out to this unique experience at The Collings Foundation two weekends ago. Dusted off my Canon 7D with stock EFS 18-135mm lens (which frankly I'm not worthy of operating) and started snapping. Honestly, if you live in the New England region of the states, you really should make a point of attending this fantastic WW2 reenactment. Seeing a tank in a museum does not compare to hearing and feeling one in action alongside infantry. Approximately 300 reenactors, beautiful setting. The two T-6 Texan trainers, the PT-17 Stearman trainer, and the Fieseler Storch were busy all day taking people up on flights from the grass airstrip which is at the center of the Battle for the Airfield. An enormous amount of construction taking place for the new museum to house the recently acquired Jacques Littlefield Collection which will include his Panther A, one of only six still in running order in the world, and the only one in the US.
Edited: Because my crummy laptop posted before I was done.

Wow, that does look like an amazing event! And your photos are very good, so I think you are more than worthy of operating that rig! Very nice exposure, and you even go prop blur on the aircraft. Nicely done!

Thanks Ken. That means a lot coming from someone with your experience. You and Dave would love this event- it's a photographer's dream. I need to learn more about my camera's functions. I don't have much time for reading up on it. I also lost a few shots due to a seven year old constantly grabbing my arm and yelling "Daddy! Look!!"
Ok, can't resist sharing a few more:

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet. I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

Most impressive event and photos! Thank for taking the time to share.
At least most of your re-enactors look the part. I remember my wife's father (retired army Major who served in the RTR towards the end of the war) rolling with laughter witnessing some very chubby 'Falschirmjager' re-enactors struggling and wheezing in an attempt to climb over some small obstacles at a 'Living History' event locally.
