Watched 6 Days recently. Film about events of Iranian embassy seige in 1980. Great film, fast paced but accurate. Worth a watch.

Oh I know. There are plenty of movies I like that were box office flops. I was just saying that the only thing I remember about "Australia" was reading the articles about what a huge box office disaster it was.

Yeah PM box office doesn't relate to what we like Hell there's a lot of cheesy movies that we like no matter what the critics say,,And there's a lot of remakes that suck compared to the originals King Kong is one that comes to mind can't beat the first one but then again I'm one of the old black and white fan base and watch TCM regularly

I haven't seen a colorized version of a B&W movie that I liked better than the original version yet.

I like some silent films due to their historical significance and for their technical advances that were revolutionary at the time but I just can't stand that theatrical over-acting. I understand why that acting style was used (to make up for the fact that there was no dialogue) but it just grates on me after I watch it for a while.

Friday night was fun, but attendance was lower and not as energetic as last year, also less messy. I think they played it too early this year, should be closer to Halloween.

EDIT: Including pic of last year's props minus toast, water bottles and newspaper.

I watched the Lego Batman movie on Friday and I was impressed with how smart the script was. It was funny and it made references that only adults would get. I also think that Will Arnett does a great Batman voice.

Thor: The Dark World.

Natalie Portman was cute, and Loki got the best one-liners, but the rest of it was meh.

Game of Thrones. I didn't really want to commit to it (it's 7 seasons so far) and I don't particularly like a fantasy setting but my bro said I need to give it a go.

After watching the first episode I had to binge-watch the next 4 and only stopped there because it was 2 am. I'm hooked. It has Sean Bean and boobies,it's a win-win.

I also finished Fargo. I wasn't sure about season 3,it took me 3 to 4 episodes to get into it. I then got to 7 and had to finish the last 3 episodes off in one go,I just couldn't leave it. David Thewlis and Ewan McGregor were just brilliant I thought.

If you haven't read any of the books be very careful when you go on the internet. Spoilers for the show are everywhere.

Just been to the cinema to watch Goodbye Christopher Robin. Loved it . A very British film.

Haven't been to a movie in a while, wife and I saw Only the Brave, based on a true story about the Granite Mountain Hotshots/

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3829920/?ref_=nv_sr_1

some pretty big names in this too
Josh Brolin
Jennifer Connelly, God did she look way too skinny
Myles Tyler
Jeff Bridges
James Badge Dale, who was Tyrone Woods in 13 Hours
and Taylor Kitsch who was Mike Murphy in Lone Survivor!

Thought it was a very good movie, your typical over the top parts, but for a movie that was 2:13 mins long, it kept us in it the entire time.

Going to see Thank you for your Service this weekend, sure that will be tough.

Last movie I saw in the theater was "Blade Runner 2049". It was outstanding in every way possible.

that's funny, because I read a link where the movie wasn't doing good at all and some theaters were pulling it after 3 weeks. I'll have to give it a try on DVD then.

The movie was a commercial failure but a huge critical success. The film critics loved it as well as the hardcore fans.

Basically, the only people who went to see it were people who had seen the original film and were big fans of the Blade Runner universe.

The attempt at making the Blade Runner franchise appeal to a wider mainstream audience failed.

War for the Planet of the Apes. By far the best of all the Ape movies so far. Leaves a good ending. Not many of those anymore.
