Im just biding my time until the pacific BoS stuff comes out. I really really really want to do pacific carrier landings in a modern wwii sim. +1 I have to say the only one I still do is Wings Over Vietnam on my old XP tower. I still like to hit the Paul Duhmar bridge in a Thud F-100. Those darn SAMs still get me. I have a modded single player WOV install, it SAMs galor, that I've not played lately but am sure to go back to at some point. A friend and I also still fly an occasional WOV MP mission or 2 via Hamachi.

@Master. There is a new Birds of Steal coming to PC? I have it on Xbox 360. I'm not sure I understand what's being talked about. I know we here like our acronyms but I start to forget what is what lol. I'm with you though on anything new being made to be based on WW2 Pacific carrier ops! I'm pretty sure by BoS, he is referring to IL-2:Battle of Stalingrad. Yep. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/25072-announcing-battle-kuban-and-development-plan/#entry385578If our plan is successful, our engine and product line will evolve into one of the biggest and best combat sim series ever.
Our long-term vision includes the following battles, but not necessarily in this order and final selection is not concrete.
Battle of Kuban Battle of Midway Battle of Okinawa Battle of ??????

Started to learn to play the guitar 4 years ago and can't put the damn thing down..any free time I had to play games on a computer has been channeled to the guitar.
Similar situation here. 20 Years ago my guitar gave way to gaming, now it is the other way around. What is left of my gaming time is mostly spent on playing Lego games with my son. If I fire up a game for myself, it is usually a simulation or strategy type game, same as it was when I started. Flight sims I have installed (and have played in the past year): FSX, Flight Sim World, Battle of Britain 2, Mig Alley, Thirdwire series, ROF, Combat Air Patrol 2. Planning to have another go at Falcon 4 in the near future, but I have been saying that for 2 years now.
Undercarriage lever a bit sticky was it, Sir?

I'm a combo of (1) and (2). I fly pretty much every day with FSX SE with my Aerosoft F-14X add-on coupled with TacPack, vLSO, and Javier's carriers and VRS Super Bug. I also have DCS A-10 that I flew more frequently before but since I lost functionality of one of my rocker switches, I don't as much anymore. I also have F4 BMS installed but am yet to fly it more (no time to tweak it). I've been flying the arcadey aircraft in Arma3 but that's just for fun really. I still crave the realism of study sims and FSX is all I've got right now.
Other ones installed but not in use are The Mighty 8th, DCS Su-25, DCS- Su-27. I blasted around here and there with DCS F-15C but I don't feel like they put alot of emphasis on realism and playability on it as much as they did with A-10.
I have all my original CDs of things like Longbow, JF-18, etc but just don't have the time to tweak them for Win10.
