I have to say the only one I still do is Wings Over Vietnam on my old XP tower. I still like to hit the Paul Duhmar bridge in a Thud F-100. Those darn SAMs still get me.

Only play IL-2 1946 HSFX v7.03 these days. I moderate at Mission4Today and fly with a squadron twice a week or even it might fall by the wayside.

Have 3 copies of RoF and never installed them. Two of the original version and 1 of the Iron Cross edition.
Have BoS, BoM, and BoK but have never installed them.
Have Cliff's of Dover and never installed it either.
Red Baron is on a Win 98 legacy machine but I haven't fired it up to play in months.
Quit flying European Air War when I got the 7217 error.
Several other titles are still in the box never having been flown.

Built a new PC over a year ago, latest sim was DCS but never re-installed it same with Falcon BMS and the IL-2 varieties.
Had most of the major sims over the years, Falcon, Falcon3, EF2000, EAW, All the Janes,etc.., car racing as well GPL
really never got into multiplayer except for car racing and can't seem to find the one that captures the imagination and wants me to come back. DCS although pretty was just too sterile
Started to learn to play the guitar 4 years ago and can't put the damn thing down..any free time I had to play games on a computer has been channeled to the guitar. Super frustrating at times but also very rewarding

@Master. There is a new Birds of Steal coming to PC? I have it on Xbox 360. I'm not sure I understand what's being talked about. I know we here like our acronyms but I start to forget what is what lol. I'm with you though on anything new being made to be based on WW2 Pacific carrier ops!

I have a modded IL-2 1946 installed, Rise of Flight and every once in awhile re-install DCS. I haven't played my flight sims really in quite awhile though and I miss them. I'm just in a mode right now where I don't want to pull out flight sticks and re-learn my way around a particular sims' user interface and controls. I do have a couple of simpler joysticks I may pull out but even they take up what little desk space there is. I have Battle of Stalingrad but I have barely touched it. I really want to get into RoF campaigns but once again it takes awhile to get things set up decent peripheral-wise and also game performance. I look forward to this new CLOD project also. I'm hoping that out of the blue GOG.com will acquire a boat load of Jane's and other sim titles and do their magic on them(Hopefully. Sometimes they don't always manage it) Having easy GOG installs of those games would be great and save us a lot of setup time and also make sure they work on newer systems. Unfortunately I don't have any of my older PCs anymore. I would like to someday put together a legacy PC to play my older stuff.

Still got FSX and RoF installed, but havent touched them in months. If I build a new PC in Winter (might still say screw it and go with an xbox x instead), flight sims - unlike racing sims - will be an afterthought at best.

I have a modded single player WOV install, it SAMs galor, that I've not played lately but am sure to go back to at some point. A friend and I also still fly an occasional WOV MP mission or 2 via Hamachi.

I'm pretty sure by BoS, he is referring to IL-2:Battle of Stalingrad.

Battle of Kuban

Battle of Okinawa
Battle of ??????

Option 1 for me.

RoF, WOFF and FSX are installed. I play WOFF occasionally, and I could uninstall RoF. FSX is my substitute to IRL since my diabete has been discovered in 2010. Probably not the best substitute, but I spent too much money in it to go for an other sim, except maybe P3D.

I have DCS, CLOD, BOS and IL2 installed.
I am hooked on racing sims right now and it has sucked most of my gaming time right now.

The current line of racing sims and peripherals is awesome right now. Unfortunately flight peripherals have not kept up with the times. The flight sims are great, ground breaking even, but the lack of high quality FFB for flight sims (sticks and rudders) is a big short coming compared to the racing genre.

I use Prepar3d v3 and v4 almost every day. Am constantly polishing my IFR technique, flying the most difficult approaches I can, creating my own IFR approaches just for fun, etc.

I also fly DCS helicopters once per week or so, again mostly for IFR and keeping my helicopter skills up to par. Not perfect but DCS helicopters are pretty good.

I also fly PSX 747 simulator, usually linked up with P3D for 747 training and CRM work.

Similar situation here. 20 Years ago my guitar gave way to gaming, now it is the other way around. What is left of my gaming time is mostly spent on playing Lego games with my son. If I fire up a game for myself, it is usually a simulation or strategy type game, same as it was when I started.

Flight sims I have installed (and have played in the past year): FSX, Flight Sim World, Battle of Britain 2, Mig Alley, Thirdwire series, ROF, Combat Air Patrol 2. Planning to have another go at Falcon 4 in the near future, but I have been saying that for 2 years now.

For those of you who have paused their flight simming, I strongly recommend that you do some simming for 2 or 3 days straight - make some time to do some simulation and just go through with it.

It will almost certainly get you back into the groove.

I went for a period of about 2 or 3 years without any simming at all. I was just not interested in doing it. Too much work, too much setup, add ons etc.

When I finally sat down, set up my weather programs, navigation programs etc. I realized it wasn't as difficult to do as I had remembered.

These days programs like Activesky remove a lot of the burden of weather planning.

I personally use a combo of P3D + Activesky + PFPX to calculate my routes. TOPCAT or other performance table programs to calculate takeoff data.

It's surprisingly easy to do.

Currently flying FSX SE and Prepar3D v3 multiplayer with TacPac and FSX@War. Some add-on scenery. FSX or Prepar3D you may ask? Simple, the DCS "World", is too small.

Flying almost daily here. Sometimes i'm flying more DCS or Clod, sometimes I stick with a civil sim (P3D), depending on the mood and time available. Here is my list:

Prepar3d V4
DCS (A-10C, FC3, Mirage, etc.)
Clod
EAW (online only)

I'm a combo of (1) and (2). I fly pretty much every day with FSX SE with my Aerosoft F-14X add-on coupled with TacPack, vLSO, and Javier's carriers and VRS Super Bug. I also have DCS A-10 that I flew more frequently before but since I lost functionality of one of my rocker switches, I don't as much anymore. I also have F4 BMS installed but am yet to fly it more (no time to tweak it). I've been flying the arcadey aircraft in Arma3 but that's just for fun really. I still crave the realism of study sims and FSX is all I've got right now.

Other ones installed but not in use are The Mighty 8th, DCS Su-25, DCS- Su-27. I blasted around here and there with DCS F-15C but I don't feel like they put alot of emphasis on realism and playability on it as much as they did with A-10.

I have all my original CDs of things like Longbow, JF-18, etc but just don't have the time to tweak them for Win10.

v6,
boNes
