Just watched the Su-33 for DCS World trailer and the fact that they have to put in a disclaimer at the start kinda hints at ED's shenanigans.

linky

One thing I will say though is that they do know how to make a trailer! And the Su-33 is such a beautiful aircraft, I think it's much, much sexier than the F-15.

I'm trying to understand the sequence of events at 1:46 though. It looks like an Su-33 is defensive against an F-15, the Su-33 is on a right turn, releases flares, then reverses his turn. At 1:50, it looks like the missile has ignored the flares and is headed straight for the Flanker but suddenly, it just turns away like there's some sort of force field.... I guess missiles are still borked, huh?

I love the carrier wire animations at the end... although is it just me or is the carrier deck too shiny?

they are doing a rotation of modules - it is not like all are on a fire sale 24/7.

Who said anything about a fire sale? Or 24/7? I don't recall moving the goalposts....

There was a decent sale on 1st Sept, a good 60% off using bonus points on 11th August, and a good, proper fire sale on 14th July that lasted more than 2 weeks.

the modules I am looking forward to are the Mirage IIIC and the Tucano , as soon as they go on sale with a good discount I plan to buy them - until then I am fine with what I already have smile

and I have the P-47C free from the WWII kickstarter.

Mirage IIIC - Mirage 2000C?
What about the Tucano? Am I missing something here?

Interesting that the Mirage isn't included in the sales yet.... it was released on Dec 2015 as Open Beta (anyone know the full release date?) but modules that have been released after it such as the L-39, MiG-15bis, F-86F, Gazelle, F-5, etc. have already gone on 50% sale. Maybe an agreement with RAZBAM? Looks like everything after the M-2000C has been on sale of up to 50% off or on some bundle deals except the M-2000C and the Viggen.... the Mirage was out since Dec 2015 but the Viggen was only January 2017.

@Ice - Mirage IIICJ is an aircraft that is being worked on by Razbam along with the Tucano - both of these are future projects.

I know one Mirage III pilot who would be interested in that aircraft (though the CJ variant was an earlier type with a limited radar)

I thought they were being developed by Belsimtek , hopefully both will be released no later than 2020.

With the downgrade of the next P-51 and then the German jet, 262, to go along with the other late war German aircraft why wouldn't it be a P-47C. Makes total sense in the DCS universe. It makes sense that nothing makes sense.

they are going to downgrade the P-51 ? to an early D or to a C ?

the P-47C is not a bad model to choose, it is only different. although It would be easier to choose the same 47D model as they have now flying with FL.
