Oh my. And here I was thinking we were safe.

Guess not.

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

I just find it sad that stuff like this even gets reported on. I guess the 24/7 news cycle industry has to justify its existence somehow....

I hate this. Do I bother starting my Christmas shopping or not? They need to make up their minds.

Dude isn't predicting total destruction, just the apocalypse - a sort of Z day - so just stock up on all the vital things ones need in a post-apocalypse world like whiskey, cigarettes and cans of beans.

If the world doesn't go to sh*t, give out the cached supplies as presents.

Hey, now. That's some clearheaded, end of the world thinking, right there.

I once sent a friend an Apocalypse Kit for Christmas, which he found both hilarious and useful. In it:

Two pint bottles of whiskey.
A Zippo lighter with extra flint and a can of lighter fluid.
Three packs of smokes. Even though he doesn't smoke, what do you think the number one currency is going to be?
A jar of instant coffee.
A metal cup to boil water in to make coffee.
Thirty feet of 550 parachute cord.
A jar of peanut butter.
A metal spoon.
A small copy of the Bible (Old and New Testament) in the New International Version, explaining that it's actually a damned fine read if you go straight through it and let it connect the dots (and might fool people as to your Raider intentions).
A pocket flashlight with extra batteries.
Two cans of the Chef's spaghetti. Hey, the apocalypse sucks and nothing brings the despair of civilization's fall home quite like spaghetti with orange "sauce" in a can.
Three bars of Hershey's chocolate, because hey, the situation's not as bad as the cans of spaghetti are telling you.

I like it. Where there's chocolate, there's hope.

Oct. 21st now? Checks calendar...

No can do, registered for a 5k at LSU that morning, although I can probably make it home by noon if I bypass Mellow Mushroom.

Is it AM or PM (not clear)? If AM, please reschedule, preferably on a Monday. Thanks.

Good luck on the run Mark!

Add super glue to the pack. Good for repairs and as a wound closing sealant.
