O.k. as messyhead mentioned I made a new thread.

O.k. in 1.15.4 we have cockpit light. Is this in all helos? I ask, because as long as I work at the MI-28 pit its a bit unfavorable to test the other versions. I don't want to mix things up, which easy happens this way. I used 1.15.2 Fix5 for the MI-28 cockpit textures, because its the only version with a working pit at the moment and I want to have all instruments working for testing my textures.

As far as I've seen there isn't a problem to use my textures later for the fixed cockpit instruments in 1.16.X which messyhead is still working on.

Is this cockpit light still working in 1.16.0 Fix1, or was this only a special feature of 1.15.4? I ask, cause if this is working in 1.16.0 Fix1 also and even for the Havoc cockpit, maybe its not necessary to make extra textures for the night version of the pit.

I hope we could use your pit somewhere in future, maybe then with two MFD's, because as said mine is only a fast compromise. The original MI-28N looks much more like the one you made. Would be nice to see it in a future release!

Edit:

Would it be possible to connect some campaigns with a special decade? So that we could use older helos with older pits and weapon systems for earlier years? E.g. The AH-64A, Mi-28A, KA-50 (there was also a blue pit existing in the early versions) Mi-24 etc.

Ha ha,

just seen that in the day and night version of the MI-28 pit different kind of instruments were used screwy . I have to fix this too. Normally the helo has the same instruments day and night, only difference is the illumination biggrin

Another strange thing I never attract attention to is that the needles change from white to orange at night.

Couldn't fix this because I can not find any textures for the needles in Aphavoc. The texture which is used for all the warning lights is "SPRITES.PSD" at the orig. CD or later after the install of EEAH to HD this becomes two different files named "SPRITES.MSK" and "SPRITES.RGB".

But there are no textures for the needles in this file. The rest of the textures in the Havoc or even in the Apache (Level1, Level2, Level3 etc.) directory have nothing to do with instruments. Only cockpit views of the old original game, but if you delete the Havoc directory for testing the needles disappear screwy

I also didn't know what this convertion of those files after install was good for? Nearly all PSD files changed to RLE files which then refused to open with a normal graphics program. So if you only have the GOG version there is no way to open the textures in aphavoc\graphics\cockpits.

is only a special feature of 1.15.4, If will be new cockpit you dont need make night textures , because not will be working.

Look for the ricnunes thread, he made several campaigns with old helicopters.You can do it new yourself. is not hard

Ah o.k. Sad that this is only a feature of 1.15.4. Maybe someone can convert it to 1.16.0 too.

I will dig in the forum a bit for the threads of ricnunes. Maybe later I will try to make a campaign at my own, but now first the cockpit textures.

Currently campaign developer can set available aircrafts manually (by adding custom FORMCOMP.DAT into campaign folder), but not weapons.
I had idea to make weapons system flexible (currently payloads combinations are declared for each helicopter, it's really hard to mix them or add/remove) so it will be possible to filter available weapons by campaign year, but it's way too complicated for me and I didn't know where I can start.

Hello thealx,

mmh, if its too complex it doesn't make sense. EECH Allmods is complex enough in its current state biggrin .

Maybe this could be done by making simply another version (installation) of Allmods. I thought about one for the cold war era with all the old birds like AH-64A, MI-28A, MI-24 etc. and one for the modern days with AH-64D, RAH-66A, MI-28N, MI-35 etc.

I think both eras have its charm. I was thinking of making a blue pit for the KA-50 also. Maybe its possible to make a MI-35 pit (must be easier than the MI-24 because of simpler instruments - but needs two MFD's) and make a fixed gear to fit this version a bit more.

I would help with texture works, so I could also bring a bit contribution to the project.

All this is only an idea and not for know, but maybe in a future release. I would like to see my beloved AH-1F also somewhere in future and of course flyable biggrin

Now I have to go back to my MI-28 pit. Some progress is already done. Hope I could finish it soon twoweeks
