It should be called "Escape from Campoff", making it PvP focussed was a mistake IMO.

I don't think my nerves could take this one or Player Unknown Battlegrounds. PUB looks more interesting, but both seem to make inventory control too annoying.

Ive almost bought this so many times but the devs seemed sketchy on their forum and in not a huge pvp guy. If you could do 8vs pve I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

stalker dev is on the game, so it does have the pedigree.....btw anyone heard from them ? werent they going to do a new one and nothing ?

It is not STALKER if it is not SP. You don't get the eerie tension or surprises in an online game that go with STALKER.

It would be like a Mass Effect title not including any story driven content and was a pure MP game. It wouldn't be Mass Effect, period.

Recently I read on a Russian language forum that GSC supposedly has something in the works, but who knows if that's the case?

Why does anyone ever compare this to stalker,. It seems nothing like the stalker series other than the post apocalypse russia setting.

And from every video i have seen of it, it looks boring as hell. Run around gunning down everything you see to collect some loot. The same loot that you collected the game before, and the game before that, and the game before that. Then stick it in all your stash. Then go do it all again.

Probably great if you have OCD.

Loot gathering is an entire game genera and it is really popular. Also some people just like shooting things and the weapon modeling and ballistics in EFT is supposed to be very good. It also generates fairly realistic engagements because people are trying to escape with the loot they gather so they are less likely to do stupid things that people do in video games (with no real penalty for death.)

With that said, I dont much like pvp games because people are dicks. Right now they spawn camp and choke point camp so that the game doesnt look much fun. But if this was 8 person coop ish like insurgency it would be an instant buy for me.

IMO EFT's level of weapon and equipment modelling is wasted apon a simple PvP oriented game.

Yeah supposedly it'll incorporate more open world elements later on, but its bound to be an afterthought at best.
