Who is looking forward to Dishonored: Death of the Outsider?" ME!

It's been a long time since I've enjoyed games as much as Dishonored 1 & 2. I look forward to playing as Billie Lurk. Only 3 more days. smile

Played the first several times ask the way through. The 2nd just didn't have the same appeal to me. I'm sure I'll go back to finish it eventually.

Im a huge fan of the series. I've finished both several times and I just preordered the Outsider follow up today.

I'd say that something about the game just doesn't click for you or you have a really bad case of ADD!

Dishonored 2 is a lot of fun to play if you don't play it seriously. For example, getting up on a roof top and throwing bottles at guards walking along, knocking them out; using far reach to collect them all in a place they can't get out of; getting two factions to fight one another (in the Royal Conservatory mission, get all the guards to follow you into the Conservatory, then watch the fun!)

Spoilers!

Wow, I only watched about a third of that video and I had no idea of the amount of variety you can come up with in combining rune powers and weapons. biggrin

No ADD, but fairly picky! Didn't like the voice over, Corvo was more interesting mute. It just felt different. I'm sure I'll revisit it, I paid full price and stealth games are my favorite. I'd just played through the original and documents again right before release, so I was probably a little burned out on it and not up for the changes.

I've played both games through twice. And after playing Prey I am becoming an Arkane fan boy. It's one of the very best Studios making great, polished games and I'll buy the new Dishonored, not only because I want to play it, but because I think it will help Arkane to continue to make games like these, however small my contribution may be.

That said, Billie Lurk doesn't hook me and I'd be fine just playing as Corvo in every new game.

You've hit on one of the strengths of games like Dishonored, and that's the freedom the player has to do things anyway he or she sees fit. Personally I play in a polar opposite way, I try to ghost everything. If guards are alerted then I've messed up. This sort of stealth gameplay is what I 'grew up' on, if you can consider I was still growing up in my mid-20s. The Thief series appealed to me on this level and I look to play every game that is remotely similar.

Anyway, there is a lot of sh!t on the gaming market and Arkane, for me, is currently standing out from that crowd.

No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

I'm the same as DBond. I've always played the Dishonored games in the most stealthy manner possible. You can make it really hard by playing the game with no supernatural powers but I've not done that. It's too hardcore for me.

What really makes the Dishonored games special to me is the world and lore. It really drew me in.
